BuffaloBill Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 This was a surprise find and a very good movie. Stunning ending. 1 Quote
Bill from NYC Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Midnight Cowboy has some good winter scenes. Quote
muppy Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 I went looking for a different movie but found this one instead. The premise is intriguing. Anybody seen it? my mind went to winter-skiing this is the one I was seeking Quote
Another Fan Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 2 movies from my grade school days I thought we real real cool. They had the winter theme as the background. Be interesting to see how they hold up as a grown up Quote

dpberr Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Long Kiss Goodnight - a very underrated action film. Die Hard 2 - somewhat of a more violent carbon copy of Die Hard, but William Sadler provided heft as the antagonist, and the plot twist was effective. Quote
Just Jack Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Better Off Dead? The pivotal part of the movie is the ski race. 2 Quote

BillsPride12 Posted December 5, 2023 Author Posted December 5, 2023 Better Off Dead and Hot Tub Time Machine are two fun choices I wouldn't have thought of Quote
Nextmanup Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 I immediately thought of "The Shining" and the scenes surrounding the showdown in the garden maze. Some of the most visually creepy filmmaking of all time. Genuinely scary without resort of foolish "jump cuts" to get there. Kubrik was a freaking genius. Quote
BillsPride12 Posted December 22, 2023 Author Posted December 22, 2023 I usually try to watch some Christmas shows/movies at this time of the year when I'm not watching sports but as soon as Christmas is over I'm looking forward to watching some of these Quote
BillsPride12 Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 Watched Grumpy Old Men last night for the first time in over 20 years. Still holds up well. I had forgotten how much I liked that movie. After the movie I had to look it up that Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau both died in 2000 and 2001. Didn't think it was that long ago. Time sure flies 2 1 Quote
