He will be out of the league in less than three years and he won't get another 10.5 sacks. If Von was healthy he would never see the field. Quote
LABILLBACKER Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 I'm signing Leonard to a 2 yr deal. He's clearly the more consistent player. I don't see AJ getting another sack this year, putting him at 6.5, same as last year. I'm letting Epenesa walk and draft a new DE. Aj needed to show me more his first 2 years in the league and he didn't. His slight level of improvement is not near enough to justify a big contract. Quote
machine gun kelly Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 I’m not sure the question as both have been valuable this year. Von is still trying to get back to form. Quote

Considering he is the primary backup to Groot, not Von… If Von was healthy, Lawson would never see the field. Quote

The Jokeman Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Floyd is a better player but due to age I'd give the nod to AJE. 31 minutes ago, RyanC883 said: good point, but then need a backup for Bates. You can shift McGovern over or draft a kid in Round 4-7 to be a backup. Quote
Kincaid Kool-Aid Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Tough one. Depends on the money. Going with AJE assuming he doesn't cost much compared to Floyd. No question Floyd is better today but he's getting older and will likely command significantly more money. AJE has flashed potential and may not have reached his ceiling yet. For a while now we've spent too much money on the D relative to the O imo. The D needs to get younger and quicker and cheaper so more resources can go to supporting Josh. Quote

BlazinBill Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 Floyd all day long- AJE sets the edge worse than a broken down Con Miller Quote

Would a guy of his ego really feel that bad about not living up to the terms of his contract and realizing that he was done do the right thing and leave all that money? Its a humungous cap hit! Quote

While less productive- less mileage too. I suspect their annual value will be closer than expected with aje getting more years 1 Quote
strive_for_five_guy Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Andrew Jared should be top of BBB’s resign list this offseason. Guy’s been making clutch plays all season. Fingers crossed his rib injury isn’t too bad. 1 Quote

Alphadawg7 Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Now that we see the deals...I will take AJE at that price over Floyd at his age, price, and after a late season fall off. I wanted Floyd back too, but not at that price after he fell off and at his age. So loving the AJE deal 1 Quote
QCity Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Be interesting to see how much this moves from 70% Floyd. Quote
dgrochester55 Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Looks like the choice has been made. I would have preferred Floyd, but if AJE is the player that he was last year instead of the first three, it will be a steal. Quote
