He's not jeopardizing future PSL's on this clown HC. Sean had his shot and he blew it. 2 Quote
Billsfan1972 Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 And the Commanders did too (and could have won both games). What a pathetic tthread. Maybe if added to the title of the thread "With McD as HC" would have made it funny!!! Quote
Pete Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 We are the best team. We bounce back again and again. We played Philly and the Refs, and still dominated that game. No one beats Buffalo. Buffalo beats themselves. 1 1 Quote

BananaB Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 It doesn’t matter, at this point there are no moral victories. Especially after losing to and barely beating some lower level teams. Games are 60 minutes but not all outcomes are determined by playing good football for 60 minutes. Just how it is. Sometimes you just gotta make a play at the end and that will be enough. It’s what made the Patriots great in the early 2000s. When time starts to close our O has been making plays all year in tight games, the D on the other hand is absolutely terrible. You can play crappy the whole game still be in a position to win and you can play great and still be in the position to lose. This year we always lose Quote

You’re acting like he’s got a losing record No I’m not, all of us have seen him take the Bills out of the ”drought” and we are all happy as hell about that, BUT, his defenses and special teams have let the team down repeatedly regardless of who is or isn’t injured for many seasons. Sean’s insistence that his defenses will win important games has not come to fruition, you me and everyone else has watched his “D” fail in clutch moments repeatedly, it’s not the players it’s Seans scheme. His Under investment on the offensive side of the ball has as well shown to be a problem. These issues are not by any stretch new, Sean either needs to change his stripes (not gonna happen), or nothing is going to change, it will be more “rinse and repeat” we need someone that sees ways to use our personnel in a different way to get to the next level as the saying goes. I would suggest that T Peg should have a serious and objective discussion with Sean and suggest he stops doing the same things over and over and expect different outcomes when it has yet to happen. Sean has done a lot of good things for Buffalo, we all know this, but he has plateaued and this we all know as well. GO BILLS!!! Quote

You’re acting like he’s got a losing record There's no doubt in my mind the Bills can perfectly tread water for many years with McDermott as head coach.. and with Josh Allen as QB. Look if Josh goes down, this is barely a 2-3 win team. What we need out of a head coach right now is to make the correct decisions in critical moments, and McDermott seems to really struggle with that despite several years from which he could reflect and learn from his mistakes. But hey, maybe the Bills come out of the bye and go on a tear to finish the season. With Josh as QB anything is possible. But if we lose even one more close game in the fashion that's become McD's specialty, that seat is only gonna get warmer... Quote
stosh64 Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 McD is exactly what the Jests need ATM. The Bills need someone that will go all in with JA17 and win Buffalo a Championship. It can be done but McD has shown time and time again he is NOT the man to do it, from his peak at 13 seconds it has been consistently worse every year since then.. Time is wasting with Josh. Quote

This team can regularly win 10+ games in the regular season, win the AFC East when the other teams are mediocre or less and win the Wild Card Round against middling playoff teams who barely deserve to be there. But to get past the Divisional Round, Championship Game and Super Bowl, he's going to need consistently strong defensive performances against QBs like Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, etc. No evidence he's got the ability to do that. How does that not (at least partially) fall on Sean McDermott??????? They blew a lead against the Jets. They blew a lead against the Patriots. They blew a lead against the Broncos. This team is 6-6 and will miss the playoffs. And I'm supposed to be happy, because they came close to beating the Eagles? 1 Quote
FilthyBeast Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 I'll respond to this nonsense with a classic quote from the Bills drought years, I believe from another team's coach although can't place the name right now....but it's something to the tune of 'The Bills are the hardest team in the league to play, but the easiest to beat'. And truer words couldn't be spoken especially in regards the the McD era teams. Even with what most believe is an elite top 5 franchise QB, it defies logic that this team continues to come out on the wrong side of the W/L column in every close game, against the leagues best (or in some case worst) over and over. 1 1 Quote

C.Biscuit97 Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 While I would be crazy disappointed at how we lost that game, it’s not that big of deal if we beat Mac Jones or Zack Wilson. Especially since it was a nfc game. Those are the real killers where moral victories don’t matter. On 11/27/2023 at 10:39 AM, Kirby Jackson said: Well, he’s learning what it’s like. The point is his defense has lost 8 games in the last season and a half in the last of the 4th quarter. His defense is not prepared for to close out games. He calls the wrong Defense at the wrong time and gets burned. His whole point was I’ll take over the defense because I can do a better job than any other Defensive Coordinator candidate. how’s that working out ? Quote
