49ers ran deep routes on that 2nd down and I’m not sure why, Aiyuk was just streaking down the middle of the field, Purdy never looked his way, Aiyuk never turned around.

 

And then the 3rd down play is that same checkdown to McCaffrey.

I still feel they’re a strong team regardless that the NFC is pretty whack from yesteryears but it certainly helps. 

Really strong drafting besides the Lance disaster, trades (T. Williams, McCaffrey, Young), smart free agency signings, and really good coaching.  When fully healthy they're probably the best team in the NFL regardless of conference (they just destroyed the Jaguars).

This. They prey on the stupid franchises especially Washington by getting chase young and previously Trent Williams the best lt in football practically for free. They work the comp pick formula to their advantage better than anyone.
