Draconator Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 I have a workmate whose brother is in the FBI. He's saying it was a Tesla, possibly in self-driving mode, that was on the US side, traveling at close to 100 mph, hit a curb, went airborne, and crashed into a secondary inspection site. 2 Quote
BritBill Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 (edited) Two people dead and it’s being treated as more than a freak accident. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-us-canada-67503982 Edited November 22, 2023 by BritBill Quote
Jauronimo Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 I'm calling it now. This is somehow connected to Marcel Dareus drag racing Freddy Jackson to the new chinese buffet at the Sundowner. 1 Quote

If that's what it is, just one more reason to not feel cool about turning over a Tesla self-driving mode. Dang. Quote

zow2 Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Might not even be explosives now. they aren’t sure. Could be a high speed car crash, on purpose. Quote

Dukestreetking Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Just want to clarify early comment, so I'm not spinning anything up: Not all the imagery I've seen would indicate a VBIED attack, at least that I'm familiar with (ex, lack of cratering, wider blast damage, other). So...12-24 hr definitely applies here. 2 Quote
PastaJoe Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Latest reports say the car came from the casino. Quote
Bimmer323i Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 No one knows for sure if there were explosives in the vehicle… the car went airborne and it an object and exploded… Coulda been just gas tank exploded but who knows… just seen seen on a live news report Quote

If it was a Tesla (which it appeared to me from the wheel in the wreckage), it didn't "just blow up". Teslas burn, they don't detonate. A high speed wreck might catastrophicly rupture the batteries to basically explode. Also a Tesla would be a weird terrorist car to blow up. Edited November 22, 2023 by 1ManRaid Quote
