But Gorsuch is kind of a renegade on issues in which he thinks the Government doesn't do things right, and ultimately that's what this case was about. Alito's decision here may draw him more criticism, but it really shouldn't - he's relying on the text of the statute here, which is a little bit different than what it was in prior cases in which the Supreme Court decided for the alien.
