Call it the Ty Johnson revenge game. The Bills’ No. 3 running back came into the game with one carry for 2 yards in four games. Johnson, a former member of the Jets, gained 47 yards on three catches, including a 26-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter that came on a fourth-and-1 play. His usage was a new wrinkle from Bills interim offensive coordinator Joe Brady, who called his first game in place of Ken Dorsey. Johnson’s touchdown was his first since Nov. 27, 2022, when he was with the Jets against Chicago. That means the Bills’ five inactive players were healthy Bills linebacker Tyler Matakevich was looked at by trainers with 2:36 remaining in the fourth quarter, but was able to leave the field on his own.
