zow2 Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 Shut out in the 2nd half. Didn’t Miami also shut them out in the second half? Quote

I mean they're terrible, they've got Kelce and he had an awful night. 1 Quote

The Chiefs have been winning defensive battles all year. That receiver group is really horrific and the chickens are coming home to roost. CEH over Tee Higgins is a sore spot in that org right now. They probably cruise to another AFCCG with a legit WR. They still may get there but woof that group is definitely their Achilles heel Quote

Their pass catching weapons are not that far off from ours IMO. When you factor in how much better their OL and offensive coaching is I don't think it's crazy to say Allen and Mahomes have about equivalent supporting casts. That's KC investing two 2nds and one 3rd too. Not to mention $12m AAV on MVS. They're missing JuJu type production from LY. Their defense is probably the beat its been in the Mahomes era though. AFC is wide open this year, mainly due to various QB injuries..and Andrew's for Bmore. Just find a way to get in. Quote

Low Positive Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 For some reason I really want Mahomes to have to play a road playoff game. 2 minutes ago, Roundybout said: Dunno where he gets room to talk when he’s trapped on the Titans He's basically saying "shoulda paid MEEEEEEEE!!!!" Quote

Weird how we never heard the announcers bring that up like they do with Mahomes every week.🤔 notice how aikman did not say he threw that deep ball t hard like he did last week to blame allen....the ball had zero air under it but no mention of that. i would mention buck but he probably was getting his lipstick touched up during the play and didnt see it.... seriously though, mahomes threw a line drive....forcing his wr to dive instead of putting air on it and letting his wr run under it for the easier catch. 1 Quote

But man are they beatable. @Zerovoltz "The Bills need less good receivers" thread might be the worst TSW thread of 2023. Receivers REALLY matter. The Chiefs may still win the SB because their D is kicking a$$ and Mahomes is still the best.........but this year their unwillingness to risk it and sign Hopkins has left them with a bunch of ball droppers running around out everywhere. Mahomes has to be pulling his hair out. MVS dropped a TD that probably wins this game and Watson dropped multiple passes including the 4th down pass that ended it for KC. 2 1 1 Quote

The Chiefs are now going on 3 consecutive games with zero 2nd half points... It's crazy. Mahomes has been off target more than usual throwing to a new set of weapons, and his pass catchers constantly let him down. 1 Quote

zow2 Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 That was the best result we could ask for. A nice hard fought emotional win for Philly. They will arrive home at like 4:15am. Then have to drive home. They won’t be awake again until Wednesday. Short week. Its now up to the Bills to take advantage. 1 Quote

They had an early lead and turtled to the end. It wasn’t a shootout by any means. I think I just fundamentally disagree with the building strategies of these teams. You are paying these superstar QB’s a giant chunk of your cap, because teams rightly know they are so important, then they cut corners on the offense around them. I get that defense is important, particularly forcing TO’s, but the Chiefs won it all last year because of their unstoppable offense in the SB. The Bengals almost won because of their star studded offensive cast. I used to disagree because of Brady and how he always did more with less from a personnel, but now I wonder. 1 Quote
