Has Shakir overtaken Davis

Another strong game for Shakir and another no-show game from Gabe Davis. Have we seen a change at the #2 receiver for the Bills?

Production wise, absolutely. However Gabe will likely still see his starting job safe. 

 

Shakir was fantastic, but so was Davis in that #3WR role.

Yes, BUT he is not an outside wr, he thrives in the slot. Leave him there, stuck with Davis rest of year

We HAVE draft receiver early this year I think. Davis is good as gone and I think has done himself no favors in a huge contract year for him.

Shakir should have been utilized more dating back to last year.  He's speed and agility makes him very dangerous. 

 

Glad to see Brady using Cook, Shakir, Morris, and many others.  Mismatches are what keep defenses off balance.  Different players, packages, etc.  No where to key in on.

Keep Shakir in the slot and go after a legit #2 in the draft, we need to think about another #1 too, I have to imagine we'll have another diggs off season saga.

Receiver and safety need to be high priority this offseason imo.  Draft or free agency we’re gonna need an influx of young talent.

I think so. Gabe just hasn’t made the progress that we’ve needed him to make. Opportunities are being given to Kincaid & Shakir that use to go to Davis, & they’re making the most of them.

Kincaid has passed Davis as the #2. And Shakir is making a case for himself to be given #3 level targets.

The offense should run through Diggs, Kincaid, Cook, and Shakir going forward. 

 

I still marvel at the amount of people on this board who were banging the table for his release because he had a quiet Pre-Season. Goes to show how much Pre-Season does not matter.

I love Kincaid I think he's gonna be a top 3 tight end for the next 8 to 10 years.
