A better case can be made for Moss yes.

The fact that Singletary was behind Pearce kinda tells you something doesn’t it?

Think Devin and Pierce are pretty similar. The latter just has better top end speed IMO.

Yup, and  it took Houston  a little too long to realize what they have in Singletarry--their starter, a workhorse, one of the running backs in the league at protecting the quarterback, a team player, never complaining, and someone who gets better and better the more you feed him the ball

And he is always available.

Now, watch to see if Houston is smart enough to let Motor run and run, providing Houston with a missing element of the offense, just like he did so well with the Bills in the middle of the 2021 season.  The Bills became the best rushing team in the league during that stretch, propelling the entire offense, and Josh Allen, their best play ever, championship caliber.

If Dorsey was not as incompetent as he is, he would have ridden Motor last year and not let him go this year.

Pierce just hasn’t been healthy this year. That’s the bigger issue. Like Devin and glad he’s playing well, like you said; guy never complained. True team first guy.

Either way, like most RBs. You get enough opportunities in a game you will wind up producing something.

Well they are both backups and both have played well when put in the #1 roll.

The only reason the Bills didn't keep Singletary (and why they drafted Cook a year ahead of Singletary's departure) is that Singletary's rookie contract was expiring, and the Bills don't want to pay the going rate for top-notch veterans.  Like most other teams, the Bills use rookie contracts for RBs to balance the books.

Yes, it tells me that Houston made a poor decision in making Pierce their starting RB, and waiting so long to finally use Motor, make him their starter.

He will remain there, I think, and add that other needed dimension for Houston to become a true contender.

I think he will make $3.5 million this year.  How much do Harty and Sherfield make?

Not their fault they are not used,  and not used well, but how much production for how much money?

Do we really have to do this every time a former player does something a tiny bit good? Yeah Miss is so good that he’s the backup in Indy and Singletary has had 1 good game after averaging like 3 ypc the first 10 games. While we are at it, let’s bring up Hodgins, or should we not because it doesn’t fit the narrative any more since he’s doing nothing this year?

Is it really absurd to compare their performance from their time here? It really highlights how bad our run scheme is.

Your take on Moss is ridiculous. He has a 4.6 yard avg and 5 TDs as their starter. Also 123 yards receiving with 1 TD. The only reason he's the backup now is cause JT is on that team and back. In comparison, Moss looked like dog ***** on the Bills.

It only seems that way before we don't watch every play. Every player looks good in highlights.

Yea, singletary had productive games here. I’m not racing to pay the guy.

Coaching does that. Singletary always looked good when the let him be the guy, most of the time it was a rotation though.

More and more players leave Buffalo and show their skill

You’re basing this off what? 1 and a half games? Singletary’s done next to nothing all year before last week.

And Moss did pretty much nothing after he was traded last season.

The Bills never had a good run blocking offensive line for 90% of the time he was here. 2019 and 2020 the Bills offensive line were very solid at pass blocking but average at best in run blocking.

2021 the Bills offensive line was a mess until the last few weeks of the regular season and playoffs (they didn’t get rolling until they kicked D.Williams inside and plugged in Brown and Bates). That 6ish game stretch was probably the only stretch of good run blocking play by the offensive line.

Then in 2022 the offensive line was horrendous. Had Singletary been the consistent lead back and had better run blocking he easily would have been a 1100 yard or better back if healthy.

Is it just a coincidence that both Singletary and Moss look much better on their new teams?

Singletary has 92 carries for 359 yards and 3.9 ypc on the year.

One game doens't change his overall body of work.

Singletary had his first back to back 100 games for his career. Prior to last week, the dude had averaged 27 rushing yards per game for the season. So let's not act like he's suddenly some kind of all pro.

Actually yes it is absolutely absurd. Singletary wouldn’t be playing in Buffalo anyway. He was a free agent and no matter how well he had played here he was gone.
Moss rushed 1 time for 2 yards last week-am I supposed to be impressed by that? He had a couple of good games, but in half of their games his ypc has been under 4. I’ll say it again, complete Isaiah Hodgins syndrome-have a decent game or 2 and somehow that means Buffalo clearly screwed up
