Charles Romes Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 (edited) Flacco had his last gasp of greatness v the Browns last year. Two TD drives in the last few minutes. This happens quite a bit, where bad to average player has one good game v one specific team and then that specific team picks him up. Edited November 17, 2023 by Charles Romes 1 Quote
Bob Jones Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 It's just like in the movie "Moneyball!" 😂 Good for Flacco. Quote
Livinginthepast Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Flacco is the stereotype of what good NFL Qbs "used to be". That is a strong performer into his early 30s and then fell off a cliff in terms of quality with Denver and then NYJ. Brady, Brees and Rogers have changed the perception of what a great QB can be in their late 30s but in most of NFL history they have been outliers. Now CLeveland is so desperate they take a look at him after months out of football? That's nuts! 1 1 Quote

Gregg Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 If the Browns had a decent QB they would have a good shot to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. That defense is nasty. 3 1 Quote
uninja Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 They had Josh Dobbs and they traded him away 😂 2 1 1 Quote
Warcodered Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Guessing he's the backup behind the guy that was playing better than Watson anyway? Quote

Cleveland is 6-3 with bottom 5 qb play. It’s wild that they would settle for Flacco. I’d rather try out Matt Ryan. 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 It's about the best you're going to find this late in the season. At the very least he is an experienced pro that can help their rookie in the film room. 1 Quote
MJS Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 (edited) He hasn't been good for so many years. I simply do not understand what teams see in him. Edited November 17, 2023 by MJS 2 Quote
RobbRiddick Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 They're bringing him in to be Watson's massage therapist as punishment for stealing all that money from them. Let's see how he likes it when he has Flacco's giant, hairy, oily hands all over him Quote
