I'm apolitical, but, to answer your question, because it's wrong. I believe that any truly elected politician that are true to their constituents know that hard working people aren't down with that kind of thing. To break it down, it's simply not fair. Not only that, they know that the constituent base realizes that they will have to work harder in order to pay for those programs and pay for those freebies. It's just not right. This is how the middle class is being dismantled and they are not happy about it. An example would be, I don't think it 's right for you to pay for someone else's kid to go to college. It's not fair to you and people are getting fed up, especially when it's taking food off of their table when times are getting tough.

While many on your side have been advocating for that, I’m quite certain it’s not what most Americans want for our country. You made more sense when you were advocating for elementary schools to stock reading materials on anal/oral. Edited February 3 by JDHillFan Spelling 1

And those were legal citizens of the US who voted in MDC. 2

Welfare Benefits for Non-citizens "Refugees and asylees are eligible for all welfare benefits for the first seven years they reside in the U.S." 1

Just to stay on the healthcare point, our healthcare system is the most expensive on the planet yet it still leaves people out. A medicare for all type public option would actually SAVE us money. 26 minutes ago, Doc said:  Illegals see that Dems are not only rolling out the red carpet but trying to allow them to remain in the US, where they can financially benefit. So they'll be far more likely to vote Dem. Values don't pay the bills. A medicare for all type public option would actually SAVE us money.  They benefit, start businesses, have kids, pay taxes, etc etc. I completely understand your premise. The healthcare system in this country is completely f'up. It's too focused on profits and disregards the individual, which is bad for the people of this country. The bolded part is, what I think, makes most people upset. We need to be able to take care of ourselves first before we offer those benefits to non-citizens. I don't think it's fair to offer those benefits to non-Americans when Americans like you and me may be struggling. When literally millions of people are getting benefits at our expense while there are over 600,000 homeless Americans in this country not getting the same level of benefits, it's going to rub people the wrong way. Let alone the neglect of the veterans of this county. It's like the old analogy of being on an airplane and something bad happens, you have to put on your oxygen mask before you can help other people, otherwise, you won't be able to help other people. You have to have the capacity to take care of your own first before you can take care of others. Â

Totally agree. I've worked on jobs with "people not from this country" (I'll just say it that way). They send the majority of their money back home as the USD is stronger than their home currency. Most don't start businesses and basically export their tax dollars to their home country essentially not contributing to the US economy. I understand why they do it, and I don't blame them, but they are not contributing to this country. It's just the way it is, and it's fact. 2
BillsFanNC Posted February 3 Posted February 3 (edited) I think roundyfuk.c should have a few "migrants" come into its home uninvited and squat.  She can pay their rent. He can feed them. Zir can pay their bills. They (read non-binary roundyfuk.c) can pay their (read illegals) taxes.  I'm sure it will all turn out as a net positive for Roundyfuk.c  Edited February 3 by BillsFanNC 1
