That's 75 million less than Fitzpatrick, not including any advertising money he made during his career. 5 million is a lot of money, but it's not generational FU money. Bryan Cox doesn't seem like the best example of having good asset management. 1 Quote

The guys basically fly's into a city on Wednesdays. Hangs out and asks some questions Thursday day/morning. Does a 30 minute pregame, 20 minute half time, and 30 minute end of game recap as a panelist, not even a host. Then probably sleeps in his own bed in his hometown in AZ Thursday night. And he probably gets a couple million to do it. And the thought is he will trade that for like $500k per year to move to Buffalo, sleep on a cot, and barely see his family. Sounds like a great gig. 1 Quote
fergie's ire Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Yeah, I don't think he'd want to pass up the TV gig either, but he would be just what Josh needs, in my opinion. Needs to have that fun and swagger back (which is what fitzy has said) and always shirtless fitzy could bring it out of him. Maybe he can be brought in in an unofficial capacity? Quote
BearNorth Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Remember Fitz went to Hah'vurd. Not only did he make a lot of money, but likely has the smartest guys in the room running it for him. He doesn't need the hassle of an OC job. Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Fitz would be stupid to leave his analyst gig. Quote
BillMafia716ix Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Josh already throws enough interceptions. No Thanks 1 1 Quote

Remember when rumors or speculation would come up that he was going back to coaching. Boomer on his WFAN show would tell everybody it's not happening but the rumors still kept going for a while. Now it's getting close to 20 years since he last coached. You can tell he likes sitting in the CBS studio getting paid millions to talk and watch football. That is a dream job. 1 Quote

TV job seems like a great way to stay involved with the game. Everyone loves you, you only need to work a few days a week (travel and prep, plus the game), and you make good $. As soon as the season is over you're basically off until next summer. Best of all, you always win, every week! You would have to really, really want to coach to give that all up. Matt_In_NH Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Jim Kelly for QB coach, Fitz for Offensive quality control, Bruce for DL coach, Andre for WR coach....Tasker for special teams coordinator Quote
NoName Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 What is Josh's biggest weakness? And how would Fitz help with that when it was also his biggest weakness? 4 hours ago, Bubba Gump said: He's obviously smart enough. I'm not sure if anyone knew this, but he went to Harvard. He loves the game and loves Buffalo. I'd give him a shot. Maybe he could get Josh's head back in the game instead of in his ass. Quote

BillsFanForever19 Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Fitz is surely making way more money for way less work doing Amazon commentating and commercials. He said he briefly considered coaching but didn't want to commit to the rigorous schedule of a coach at this point in his life and then Amazon came along. Zero chance he'd take less money and more time away from his family, giving up the gig he has now to be a positional coach. Quote
frostbitmic Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 GM Ryan FitzMagic has a better ring to it ... He went to Harvard you know and he has a killer WNY beard. 1 Quote

Yes, Josh has an Int problem, but Fitz's Int problem always seem to come on last minute drives. Josh throws them whenever. 25 minutes ago, Over 29 years of fanhood said: doesn’t it seem like he’s having way too much fun right now to sign up for a grind like coaching? The guy has fun whatever he does. He loves going to the dentist too. 2 Quote
WhoTom Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Besides the fact that he probably wouldn't want to do it, I don't know whether Fitz would be a good QB coach. He seems like an intuitive player. People who are intuitively good at their jobs tend not to be very good at teaching others how to do it. Now look at most former QBs who are now QB coaches - many were below average on the field. They can read defenses, they know the plays, and they have good mechanics, but they lack the intuition that the greats have. Josh has the intuition - he needs a coach to help him with the other stuff. I know he works with Jordan Palmer in the off-season; he needs someone like that on the staff during the season. 1 1 Quote
