I think not hitting incentives is a penalty, in a way.    You could structure a K to have an incentive that if you are under X number of interceptions or fumbles, then you get X  dollars.  Although may lead to players playing too tight, not exactly what you want.

This will never happen. And nor should it. I know I am thinking a million steps down the line here, but if this were to get approved at the level of the NFL, just wait until your employer starts asking for money back if you miss a monthly/quarterly/yearly target. 

This is crazy.

I’m on board with this if the penalties are akin to those given to someone for their last place fantasy football league finish.

 

For example, after his 3 fumbles, Cook would have to sell lemonade while wearing a dress in Delaware Park.

I think having penalties as a contractual thing would never get approved nor work. BUT...I think incentives should be a more widespread thing. Games played, yards, receptions, sacks, tackles, FG/PATs made, etc.
