Here's a question - would Dorsey have been sacked if the Bills had won yesterday? If McDermott hadn't called a time out and still overseen 12 men on the field? Or even his coached defense allowing the Broncos within FG range to start with?

Probably not.

if i see a more purposeful O with lots of under center, i'm buying in.

im a fool and a glutton for punishment.  i'm dejected and hopeful at the same time.

Dorsey gets fired bc:

1: Cook cant hold onto the ball

2: Davis cant hold onto the ball.

3: Josh throws into double coverage

4: Josh drops a handoff on the ground

5: Def (which was stellar) commits PI at end of game

6: Def (which was stellar) has 12 men on the field.

Sounds like players arent executing to me.

Good. At least SOMETHING good came from this loss.

I defended Dorsey for a long time, but it became wildly clear over the past few weeks that he needed to go.

He just didn't have a feel for game flow, sequencing, or logical play-calling AT ALL. Last night was the final straw.

Now the Bills have a seven game audition for Joe Brady, and then hopefully they hire a bright, young, innovative OC in the offseason, since I doubt McD is getting the ax.

It had to happen. The DC should step down too.

I am fine McDermott coaching out the season as a Head Coach and taking a view then, I feel he probably deserves that. But he should swallow his pride on the DC thing. It hasn't worked. He should hand over playcalling.

Wow is right, Dorsey must have been put on notice some weeks ago to right his ship or he is gone, good move imo.

really, a move that should have happened weeks ago.  Eeeking out past the Giants, etc. is not going to cut it.  Now we are outside looking in on a playoff spot.  The mediocracy that surrounds the FO is stunning.

Fired him after the one game Dorsey wasn’t the problem?

This should be a fun offseason

If you don’t think he was the problem you aren’t watching games, sorry.

Utterly no point in sacking Dorsey unless McDermott follows him.

that not really true,  he was horrible as OC gotta start somewhere.
