Well I guess I'm going to assume that Dorsey was the one to make the call to go to London on Thursday.

This firing was not just McD’s doing.  If he even had any choice in the matter.

It was probably at the insistence of Beane.  He has given McD a team that should be much better than their record, he ain’t going anywhere.

Thats not how this works

Should have canned McClappy too, obviously. Dorsey is the scapegoat. He didn’t drop balls or throw INTs or fumble the ball. X4

I think this move means McDermott is on the hot seat if things don’t improve at least.  They weren’t gonna fire the head coach until mathematically eliminated from the playoffs

All these people celebrating "McDermott on the hot seat"  ...LOL.

He's on no hot seat. He has a guaranteed contract through 2027. He's not sweating anything.

Actually he is because he cares.  You are right about the finances

No, he just drew up game plans equivalent to a high school O coordinator.

Execution plays a role, but not consistently putting players in advantageous positions for success is a bigger role.

It needs to be said, overall the offense has been the problem this season, and not the defense. And that’s surprising considering how badly our defense is injured. The defense tends to play with some fire and aggression. The offense is scatter brained and lethargic.

Just so folks know….

Joe Brady was the OC In Carolina, Learned under Sean Payton for a couple years. Prior to coaching Burrow at LSU.

His QB was Teddy Bridgewater behind a terrible Oline who threw for nearly 4000 yards. With Mike Davis at RB.

Carolina had almost 3x 1000  yard WRs and Robbie Anderson had nearly 100 Catches.

I would say with half the talent this team has now he did pretty good. Hopefully his play calling style will have a difference

Who's better that we can bring in?

Have to see at the end of the year. I certainly don't advocate firing him now...that is likely pointless.

At a certain point IMO, you just need fresh leadership. Period.

It's sad... The horrible play calling could have cost us a Superbowl window with Josh. I'm sick over it

Josh is gonna be here another 8-10 years

We've now fired both coordinators in the last 8 months.

If the season continues to spiral downward there is only one more move.

At least that's how I hope Terry sees it.

This team's problems go well beyond Dorsey. He wasn't responsible for 12 men on the field for that FG.

This game shined an enormous spotlight squarely on McDermott, and they go and get rid of the OC.

This will do nothing to change the direction this team is headed in. Maybe it helps Josh a bit, but not enough to fix this team and the issues in all three phases, plus coaching ineptitude.
