BillsfaninChicago Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 (edited) I thought I would share this tragic news here since the Bills community may want to come to the support of the family of the firefighter who lost his life in this horrific event. It occurred at Lincoln Station which is one of the iconic Bills Bars on the North Side of Chicago. 💔 https://wgntv.com/news/chicago-news/chicago-firefighter-critically-injured-after-battling-fire-at-restaurant-in-lincoln-park/ Edited November 14, 2023 by BillsfaninChicago 7 1 Quote

HurlyBurly51 Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 We knew the owner back in the Sabres Cup run in '99 and it's been a Buffalo bar ever since. You can see the Bills flag hanging outside in some of the other news stories. Sad news. Hoping the mafia can make a statement here. 3 Quote

I lived in Chicago at the time and was there for that Cup run and watched many Bills and Sabres games there in the years that followed. I saw the story this AM and it is very sad. The "lesser" bad news is that the bar appears to be destroyed, and the real bad news is the firefighter losing his life. May he rest in peace. Quote

I've got some feelers out locally to see if there's a Go Fund Me that will be established for the firefighters family. I'll share the link if one is established. Since this was home to Bills Mafia I was hoping there would be some support for this tragic loss of life. 1 Quote

Don’t know how it works but the guy says he’s local to the bar… https://www.gofundme.com/f/donate-to-criticallyinjured-chicago-firefighter Hopefully a family friend. I’m reluctant to give it to random people given the horror stories of scams you know… No real backstory as to who the fundraiser is. 1 Quote
Robert Paulson Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 That place was great- different vibe than Dililahs. Both great in their own way. RiP 2 Quote
