Thurmal34 Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 GOP again ignores will of the people, wonders why they keep losing Trying to enshrine minority rule into law. Their ideas suck, and rather than listen to what 65% of the country wants and adjust their ideas accordingly, they lose and vow to not follow the will of the voters. That's today's GOP. MAGA has taken over, and because the true GOP had no spine, they will become a footnote in American history. 1
Tiberius Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Do you notice that the GOP is starting imitate the worst aspects of the right wing Israeli settlers? They don't want the Palestians to have any rights and that seems to be what the GOP wants to do to secular America They will lose of course 2

I tend to believe there is a cyclical effect where politics are concerned, but it seems clear to me the right to terminate a pregnancy is a very hot topic these days. On the other hand, riding with “Majority rules, always” would put you on the wrong side of many of the most important changes in American history, Thurmals. Not all that long ago, abortion would be on that list. 1
Tommy Callahan Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 its hard to say minority or majority rule in a narrative about an election with a turnout in the 15-20% range. 1

Better than 40 old white guys in gerrymandered offices deciding for everyone….or 5 purpose picked hack who lied to get confirmed…. 2 1

You should tell Thurmals, maybe. 2

Both would technically be minority rule. ITs not just them guys doing the gerrymandering. 1

For it is written: “ ‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’ ” 7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” 10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’” 11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.
