⬆️ Hey, cut me some slack. You’ve been to France, I haven’t. 🙃

True. Sorry to nerd out on it. I always wondered about two words, that they say no one knows their origins for sure:

Buffalo

and

Chowder

Funny, right?

Wtf is up with these cities that have chili as their culinary claim to fame? First Cincinnati and now Denver. Their poor sewer systems .

There's a saying

" Life is like a shi* sandwich. The more bread you have the less shi* you have to eat". 😀

There's another saying I've heard along that line...

"Life is like a bucket of shi*... with the handles on the inside!"

Have you really eaten horsemeat?

I'm thinking/hoping this game will be a reprieve.

Yup.

A couple of times when I was young.

I don't like it.

Very grainy and chewy.

I prefer moose and my late Father shot a few of them so I ate it often as I was growing up.

After he had not shot a moose in a number of years, a cousin tried to pass off horse as moose to her guests by saying it was the moose my Father shot..

We will remember.

Never again.

Peasant!!!

I've eaten horse meat three or four times.  Once in the States and the other times when visiting family in France.

In the States, the meat was tough and chew - terrible.  I imagine the source was some old nag that would have otherwise been sent to the glue factory.

The horse meat I had in France was more tender than most cuts of beefsteak.  And similarly delicious.

I like horses so I'll never eat horsemeat again but, I have to confess, I enjoyed it when it was served to me.
