NewEra Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 (edited) Looks at me- this is why we lost. We aren’t going to make the playoffs. McD sucks 20 different Josh Allen __________ threads Beane sucks. Dorsey is the worst 104739295 threads about you this place is insufferable after losses. Get a grip. We lost to a very good team by 6 points while committing 2 huge turnovers. Our defense, while ravaged by injury kept us in the game until the final Mixon 3rd down run. Just so happens that a very good team made a couple more plays than we did. Is that on coaching? Is that on Beane? Is that on Dorsey? No- it’s just so happened to be on the bengals. Every loss isn’t because we lost. Sometimes the opposition wins. who was Cinci missing to injury this game? Undermanned and outgunned by a very good team. 5-4- not where we thought we be. We also didn’t think we’d be without Milano- Tre and daquan for the season. Those are the breaks. Lots of luck involved ladies and gents. Time to see what we’re made of. astb41 Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Aside from anything else, if a man who makes $50 mil makes one tackle, we have an extremely good chance to still win that game. 3 1 2 Quote
Billsfan1972 Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Yep we all want to start threads based on what we think are important facts to discuss. Ignore if they are not worth discussing. We'll get the point. Nothing worse on TSW then your thread is merged & lost somewhere else that may have little to do with your thought (just saw one merged and looked interesting and now somewhere inside a 28 page thread, so no idea what the point was, just thought it maybe interesting😡). 1 Quote

78thealltimegreat Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 This wouldn’t be an issue for many if they just would have stopped Mac Jones from an 85 yard drive two weeks ago. 6-3 has a way better feel then 5-4. Yet here they are. 2 4 Quote

It was Cincy, so nothing to see here. If course prior to this or was the 2-7 Pats and siht games against the Bucs and Giants. Once it's a trend maybe. 🤔 Edited November 6, 2023 by PBF81 1 Quote

While I generally don’t disagree with this. The fact is that despite all that you said, we had a legitimate chance to win this game and the coaching lost it for us again. Late in the game. Terrible clock management. Terrible use of challanges/timeouts imo. Terrible play calling from the entire game minus the first drive and last 2-3 drives. it’s all on the coaches. If we want to say that the players have to execute that’s fine. But it’s on the coaches to get them prepared for that and they didn’t. 2 1 Quote

BBFL Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 You’re absolutely right about the volume of negative threads that gets made but that’s the whole point of a forum; to institute an opinion or take and see if the people you share a common interest agree or disagree with your perception. Is it unnecessary? definitely. But they have their place. People are upset. Rightly so. This team has underperformed against sub par teams. Last night’s game is just a continuation of the past 4 weeks where we haven’t played very good football. Milano out hurts. Daquon out hurts. Tre out hurts. These missing players aren’t the reason this team is misfiring on offense and losing games. Nor should it when you have a Top 3 QB in today’s game. For a defensive unit being undermanned they have actually been the sole reason we’ve have had any chance to be in every loss we’ve had. No more than 6 points in each one for a total of 21 points. Our defense isn’t that great this year… Neither is the offense. The offense was and is how we have won the majority of our games since Josh’s arrival. #LAMP 1 Quote
prissythecat Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 One of my favorite days on TBD is usually after a disappointing loss. Love to read all the troll posts as well as posts from obscure members coming out of the woodwork. 2 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 This is the 4th time in 9 weeks people are told to "get a grip". We have already lost more games this year than last year and STILL have road games against both Super Bowl participants from last year (who are still winning a lot this year) and against Miami who, despite not beating a team with a winning record is leading the division. Oh as it sits right now...we are behind the Jets as well. Whatever grip there is is slipping FAST. 1 1 1 5 Quote

Low Positive Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 34 minutes ago, NewEra said: who was Cinci missing to injury this game? Undermanned and outgunned by a very good team. Nobody that you've heard of. They are the healthiest team in the NFL. Bengals fans will tell you about a UFA RB that they really liked in preseason who is on IR, but no player that you have ever heard of is on IR for them. 13 minutes ago, NewEra said: You think we lost that game because of clock management? The last TD drive took too long and losing that TO for an unwinnable challenge was a really poor coaching decision. 1 2 Quote
mrags Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 (edited) 18 minutes ago, NewEra said: You think we lost that game because of clock management? I think we had a realistic shot at the end and were starting to do things on offense that could win the game and we only had 1 TO left to stop Cincy with over 3 minutes left. Because McDermott used 1 on a very questionable challenge, and while he was on defense of I’m not mistaken, much earlier in the quarter. I dont even remember what it was used for. But the fact is, in a close game, where you know you may need all of your timeouts at the end he never has them. and if that wasn’t good enough, it was the terrible defense the team played with the game on the line. Huge cushions on their WRs all game. Von has shown that he’s not back yet, yet he was in there on an obvious running down at the end there. Lawson is much better at stopping the run and containing. This loss is on the coaches imo with the compounding terrible decisions they’ve made not only in the game, but leading up to the game during the season. McDermott and Dorsey have taken us as far as they can. It’s time for them to leave. Edited November 6, 2023 by mrags 1 1 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 they have been good at home. I think the division is won with 10 wins. The jets have beat the bills and eagles. The dolphins have beat the chargers, the bills have beat the dolphins. Buffalo has to win the next two then steal one from Dallas, KC and Philly. If they do that is 8 wins. Then beat New England and LA and they more than likely win the division. If they win the division there is a good chance they end up playing the Bengals at home because buffalo would be the 4 and I imagine Cincy is going to come up just short of baltimore but will be the highest rated wild card. I would absolutely love this scenario. I am anticipating buffalo becoming a more physical team over the next month and especially out of the bye when knox is back and fournette settles in. Buffalo could have use fournette's toughness and attitude last night. The key to the season is now winning the next two at home. If they do imo, there is clear path to winning the division. The late bye could be a life saver here. 1 Quote
billsfan714 Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 All is good and we're trending in the right direction. No other teams have injuries. We are up against the cap, in a division that's a lot tougher than it used to be and will have huge holes next season. Labeling any criticism as a lamp post is like being the Sears CEO circa 2018, we got problems whether you want to acknowledge them or not. 2 1 1 Quote
