I agree. We absolutely must go 2-0 against Denver & NYJ or season is over. Once we get to 7-4, we can absorb a L to KC/ Philly as long as we beat the Cowgirls at home.  Then we must destroy NE and split between Chargers/Fins.  There's your 10 wins. Doubtful we win afce.

To me this is the same as every April when the schedule first comes out, people start projecting records and what are easy and hard games.  Like last year, LA and Tenn were considered tough ones.  But every year there are teams that are expected to do well who do much worse (see 2023 Bills) and teams that unexpectedly do much better.

 

To me it's the same with guessing # of wins needed.  There will always be unexpected losses.  Most years 9-7 mad the playoffs, some years even 8-8, think I even recall a couple of 7-9 teams making it.  Think adding a 7th team would lower the number of wins needed too??

 

So IMO 10 is definitely enough based on history, if the poll had been if 9 wins would make it, would be a tougher call.

Screw this loser mentality!  We are winning the next four games, will be 9-4, and then everyone will be back to talking Super Bowl and whether we’re going to get help for the 1 seed.  Bengals loss is the low point of this season, things will be coming together starting Monday night hosting the Broncos.

Must win: DEN NYJ NE

Need 2 of 5: at PHI at KC DAL at LAC at MIA

 

If the Bills can get to 10 wins before they go to Miami it is plausible they are for the division.

 

I mean …from a 10 win total point of view…this is hardly beyond the realms of possibility ….there is a chance that Miami might already have the division wrapped up going into that last game if the Bills are on 9 wins…so they may rest their starters …

 

We will know the next 2 games though … they are must wins IMO..

because the other seven loss teams won’t have any warts? Did they play seven out of conference games and lose them all?

 

pretty much none of the teams with seven losses are going to be looking great with tiebreakers. But somebody’s gonna win it.
