Xwnyer Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Glad he took over defense n kept the clown of an OC Quote
BuffaloRebound Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 It was 1st down. 10 yards wasn’t worth a timeout right there unless you’re 100% sure. That wasn’t a slam dunk overturn. 1 2 1 1 Quote
May Day 10 Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 I'm disturbed by the sequence at the end of the half 2 1 Quote

His game/clock management was horrendous. want to hear his explanation for sitting on a timeout at the end of the half and the absolutely smooth brained challenge 1 Quote

Warcodered Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 When I saw that replay back from commercial it made more sense because that looked like they should have overturned it. Then again considering how the calls were going tonight McDermott should not have given the refs an opportunity to take away a timeout. Quote
Turf Toejam 34 Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 While you could look at it and say it was a correct challenge, he needs to understand the percentages of it. It was a very low percentage reversal. 1 Quote
boyst Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 The challenge did give them time to come up with a gameplan to get the TD. That's the only silver lining I cling to Quote
McBean Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 I just LOVE me some Sean McClap! Terry? You listening? Give him one MOAR extension will ya? I mean, what could we possibly do without our Marvin Lewis…I mean..SEAN MCDERMOTT. He ROCKS! Quote

Eastport bills Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 It probably wasn’t the difference because I don’t trust this decimated defense to get a stop in a must situation, but that challenge was an indication of how clueless Sean is on the offensive side of the ball. The loss of the TO was so much bigger than the 9 yard gain called on the field. It was close on review but they never change that call. Who’s telling Sean to challenge that. This team has a Sean problem and it’s a big disadvantage. Hopefully we can win some games with sheer talent. Quote
BillsFanNC Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 It was clear that it was a catch. It was also clear that it would not be overturned. Quote
WEATHER DOT COM Posted November 6, 2023 Author Posted November 6, 2023 Even if it was a 99% chance of being reversed that 1% chance of losing the timeout for a NINE YARD GAIN is enough to not challenge the play. Absolutely idiotic 1 Quote
RiotAct Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Has McD won a challenge in his head coaching career? Serious question. Quote
Freddie's Dead Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Winning the challenge is not the point. You don't challenge a 9-yard gain when it's not even a first down. The TO was worth 40 seconds of game clock, and you needed that more than a non-FD 9-yard gain. 1 1 Quote
Mikie2times Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Under no condition do you ever challenge a 9 yard completion in that situation. If it is really that obvious the league would do a quick review and overturn it. Once the league doesn't do that, it's not obvious and at that point not worth the risk. Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 The guy absolutely couldn’t wait to kick a meaningless 57 YD fg at the end of the half. One that we probably would have missed. As soon as we got the ball down 21-7 I said out loud, I know this MFer is just begging for a bomb shot to make it 21-10. A FG that doesn’t even help you. Sure enough he tried but the refs didn’t even let it be. This guy is legitimately horrible in game. He’s good at preparation and he changed this franchise around. No question. In debt for that…..this guy is a horrible in game coach. And his defense sucks. Any accurate QB with patience just shreds this MFer on every big down. 1 Quote
buffblue Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Just now, NoSaint said: yea but if offered 8 yards or 40 seconds… The way our offense was going, it made sense to get those 8 yards that video showed were clearly earned. It's not like we were tearing it up all night, and that was not only a must score drive but a must score fast situation. Our offense sucked balls the entire game 1 Quote
