mannc Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 It’s very important (for both teams) not to get behind early…I predict that whichever team wins the toss will elect to receive the opening kickoff. I really hope the Bills do this. 7 minutes ago, Heavy Kevi said: Always Defer. Always. Says who? Quote
frostbitmic Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 I vote to Dee-Fur the Bengals, how could I not ? Quote

Repulsif Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Here I would receive If for some reason, the Bengals score, Bills get stopped early, and then Bengals score again in the next drive, it could already be a rough day 10 minutes in 1 Quote
Gugny Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Their performance should differ from the last time they played the Bengals. I use the word “played” lucely. Quote
Freddie's Dead Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Defer for the double dip at the half. Hopefully it's still a game by then. Quote
ProcessTruster Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 doesn't really matter. Unless we "spread 'em out and light em up" when we have the ball , who gets which kick ain't gonna matter Quote
billsfan89 Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 I am always a defer person as no matter what you are always going to want the ball to start the second half. If you are up you want to start the half with a chance to build your lead. If you are down you want the chance to cut down the deficit to start the half. 1 Quote
Capco Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 What about which side of the field to take? If wind is going to be a factor, it might be better to have it at our backs at key times. Quote
AuntieEm Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 I rather the team just play solid on bothe offense and defense and not have to have any last minute strategy other than when tò sit starters with a comfortable lead. Quote

Doc Brown Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 There's always been a slight advantage to deferring as teams that do win 51 to 52% of the time depending on what longitudinal study you look at. It's why you see most teams defer to get the double dip opportunity which can swing momentum. I think of the Bills/Colts WC game a few years back as the perfect example. Quote
