And just in case anyone thought Denver was a “rookie mistake” - first he took over as OC in St Louis and helped a 7-9 team go 2-14 and a 2nd year QB who had shown rookie flashes to play terribly (the following year, the team went 7-8-1 and the QB looked competent again).  Then, there’s how he treated Indy.

 

Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. And yes, you’re right, Mark Davis should have believed him.
