Big Turk Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Also made a hell of a play against the Bills last year to pick off Allen. Quote

CB rankings are as bad as you get because they only grade plays where the CB’s coverage responsibility is targeted by a pass (which is absurd IMO). I’m not ripping the move or player, just PFF’s CB ratings. For the record I’m glad we made at least one move. Douglas should be able to help. He’s a competent, experienced mid-tier starter at CB, which is among the things we needed. While we gave up a fairly valuable 3rd round draft pick, at least we got back GB’s 5th. Next Gen stats also says Douglas has been excellent and so do people who break down film, so this isn't simply going on one site. 4 1 Quote

But I know we should work on scoring more than stopping the opposition cuz that worked in 13 seconds game. To be fair, we punted 4 times in that game. If that number is 3, we win. Quote

This is a solid pick up and if Tre does come back, a potentially great CB tandem. Norman should only play if we face Titans in the playoffs so he can get his revenge & smack Henry down. 1 Quote

Why would he smack down his own teammate? Seems odd…wait, we didn’t trade for him? I was told it was a done deal?!!? Quote

Also you have to figure they will do some draft day trades either punting picks away for future selections or to move up in other rounds. 10 picks is good for this team but given that the Bills couldn’t roster more than 3 draft picks from 2023’s draft (they had to IR Shorter and then their back two picks were waived and picked up by the Texans) that volume will have to come down a bit to 6-7 selections at minimum. I like the player the Bills got but giving up such a high pick seems like a lot? My guess is that there was competition. well hell yeah were chasing Miami and Jaz and Balt is improved and our safeties are older-slower and as far as corners go..the best is seriously hurt - again - a 6th rounder beats out a first rounder and the rest are backups one of which had to start, one is 35 and out of football for over a year...and oh yeah Dean Marlowe is not available Quote
Ben Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 We flipped a third for a fifth and got a legit starting corner whos only 28. This seems like a win no? 12 1 Quote

Most people, including myself, will for our own opinions after watching him play in our system for a few games. I will hope and try to trust that McBeane know how to evaluate veteran corners, so I'm cautiously optimistic. All the trade deadline winners and losers takes have the Bills consistently as winners. So there is that too. 1 Quote
