Then why didn’t we do that when Allen was making Peanuts???

Maybe go look at the records and roster construction at the time between the 2 teams.  Just a hint, that's where I'd start.

See what they want for Payne. Can't be much if they took a 3 for young.

I think Allen has been verbal about being unhappy. I wouldn't mind either on the Bills. Losing DaQuan was huge.

Since it is a buyers market, I wonder if anybody is interested in a 34 year old edge rusher, with zero knees, and about $24M AAV left over the next 4 seasons?

Do the 49ers have unlimited draft picks or something?

I believe they got like 6 3rd round comp picks for losing minority coaches over the last couple years

Wow they have Bosa and Young off the edges.  Damn.

That’s scary! I just saw the 49ers are on the verge of another blockbuster trade as well.. watch them get Adams..

Maybe Allen was the one I was thinking of. Either or lol

I wasn't saying you were wrong. Payne would be amazing. I was just adding on to your statement.

Young is a potential cornerstone defensive player that this defense could build around for the next decade.  Very different from everyone in that group apart from Von who is way past his prime.

Such a cornerstone he got dealt for a 3rd? Kid has 14 sacks in 34 games and missed 24 games due to injuries prior to this season.

A third because of the contract situation.  Any Washington fan would tell you he's better than Sweat who went for a 2nd.

5 sacks this year and only 24

Same number of sacks as Epenessa this year.  Fewer than Floyd.

Washington wanted no part of the contract negotiations for this guy.

Possibly but if he can stay healthy in a rotation he could have a huge impact in SF just like he could have had in Buffalo in the same situation.

Well he hasn't stayed healthy, and he was part of a "dream team" defensive line in Washington and it got them nothing.

For the Bills, he'd be behind Floyd, Rousseau, Miller and Epenesa (who has almost doubled Young's sacks the last two seasons).
