Lions are Bills of the NFC!  Years of being a laughingstock. Small city mocked by other fans, etc

I'm a metro Detroit native. I can't have more than one team but I will certainly support them. Wayne county isn't exactly small, but yes, the fan base being loyal, tortured, blue collar, Ralph, the apparent snow treaty, older franchises, no Super Bowls.  I would say we share a lot in common. If it isn't us, I would want it to be them.

I mean I certainly like the Lions more, but I don't really have that level of hatred for the Raiders.

agreed. Nothing really objectionable about the raiders anymore. McDaniels is so incompetent that he has really taken away any of my usual anti-patriot angst.

I like the rust belt teams. Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh. All cut from the same cloth as Buffalo.

100% and between Detroit, Cleveland, and Buffalo how many Super Bowls? Something with Lake Erie?

I feel the same about rust belt teams with the exception of Pittsburgh. They’ve had too much success, and attracted a nationwide fanbase that can obnoxious. My grandparents were Steelers fans, so I have slight soft spot for them, but I can’t really “like” them.

Haha. Perhaps the vast pollution?!

As an aside, I actually love going to Erie, PA. It’s like this perfectly weird hodgepodge of football Fans. Almost equal number of Bills, Browns, and Steelers fans.

I want the Raiders to win.  Need them still motivated and in the hunt when they play the Chiefs.

Win or lose they'll be motivated... that once was a great division rivalry.
