BuffaloBillyG Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 (edited) Would have liked him, just not at that price. Edited October 30, 2023 by BuffaloBillyG 1 1 3 Quote
Process Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 That's a nice return for the Giants 1 4 Quote
KingBoots8 Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Yeah, great player but not worth the price in my eyes. Sucks, but it is what it is. Good haul for a (now suddenly) rebuilding Giants 1 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 (edited) Sending a low 2nd for a proven player on the DL doesn't seem so crazy. It's putting a quality DL on the credit card. The 2025 5th is a total "whatever" pick at this point. They have 2 years to trade a backup guard and get that back. That guy's football life just became a lot more fun given Seattle's record. Dillenger4 Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 we were in on him. I wonder what happened to the deal? Especially with Schoen and Beane having a past. This pisses me off! THIS WAS OUR GUY!! I posted this elsewhere this morning. 1 1 2 Quote

thenorthremembers Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Giants had to get a nice return to eat 13.5 million dollars worth of dead money. Kind of glad the Bills didnt go after him as I dont see him as a true 1 Tech. Wish the Giants had more talent on their roster as they obviously need to stock up on draft picks to try and get a QB. Gregg Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 It seems like the Seahawks get taken to the cleaners in a lot of these trades. Didn't they give up ransom to the Jets for Jamal Adams a few years back. 1 Quote
BillsSbSoon Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 That’s a heck of a trade for the giants. They’re going nowhere this year and need all the ammo they can get Quote
Freddie's Dead Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Beane probably balked at the 2nd rounder. I'm OK with that. 8 Quote
wvbillsfan Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Since they are selling can we get the linebacker that ate our lunch 2 Quote

TheFunPolice Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 If you make that 2nd round pick next spring you almost certainly don't have a player of that quality on your roster in 2024. This way you get him for 2023 and all the dead cap stays behind, so you can trade or cut him without penalty at all. 1 Quote

They don't have the room for a trade like that. Quote

Turns out Beane was trying for a package deal with Williams and Adoree Jackson - so he scared the Giants off I bet. I'm sure Elam was being thrown in. 1 1 Quote
