Gregg Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 With a 10% increase on the prices as well. No shock there as everything is going up. But the Nov 15 deadline when the 2023 season is still going on is surprising. https://nypost.com/2023/10/24/sports/jets-raising-season-ticket-prices-as-aaron-rodgers-drives-demand/ 1 Quote
Captain Caveman Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Quote The Jets offer a six-month payment plan for fans with the first payment due on Nov. 15 or they can pay in full for 2024 on that date. The early renewal deadline is new for Jets fans, but is being used by other teams around the NFL. How long before we see something similar? 1 1 Quote

Maybe at some point, you have to lock into a minimum of 3 seasons and you get to finance it with like 15% interest. Edited October 26, 2023 by Royale with Cheese 1 3 Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 (edited) Jests season ticket holders wouldn't mind so much except for the fact Rocco and Geno are personally delivering the renewal notices, along with a personalized sales pitch. If they're smart, the STHs will know what to do. "Our renewal agents will stop by and see you..." Edited October 26, 2023 by Ridgewaycynic2013 3 Quote
Cray51 Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 I'll be honest, I actually think the Bucs lock you in for the next season at Week 1. It screwed over my friend who wanted tickets for Brady's last year but not the next. Regardless, the immobility of season ticket holders to cancel reasonably is a bit annoying. 1 Quote

BuffaloBillyG Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Smart. Sell them on the Hope of next year early. Then if Rodgers comes back too soon and gets reinjured and lost for all of next year they still make that bank. 1 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 You are required to pay for every seasons tickets if you own a PSL and all the new stadiums have PSL's. Usually you pay in april or may of that seasons year. PSL's are a guarantee that the owners will have sellouts and all tickets paid for. Quote

You don’t HAVE to lock into 3 seasons with the club seats. But you do get a little bit of a discount if you do 1 Quote

All planes need a test run and required for proper maintenance 2 Quote

Maybe they allow the payment plan things and you just have to start/commit by then. Still insane regardless Quote

Captain Caveman Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 PSLs are another way of taking more $ upfront, but it's not the same thing. If they ask for PSL $ starting in the next year, and then also start asking us to pay for season tickets from Nov - April instead of August - Nov or whatever it currently is, those are TWO opportunities for them to collect and hold our $ more upfront. I'm not bithcing about the Bills, or even the league here, just an observation that that's where things are and where they are going. Quote

Maybe they want everyone to commit now in case Rodgers decides to retire or isn't ready to play next year. If they go into next season with Wilson then they are probably afraid many ticket holders will bail. Edited October 27, 2023 by Gregg Quote
stuvian Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 The pain of those guarantees to Rodgers is going to be spread around democratically Quote
