Well, even those who do that MOS have to train on M4/M16 rifles. Any those who own AR platforms, many do practice with them. I know I'm extremely proficient with all of the ones I own. Of course, I used to compete nationally with the AR-15. 

 

As for his getaway... yea, he definitely had this planned. Probably jumped on a boat.

Violence does happen all over the world. Knife attacks in Japan for example... truck massacre in France (killed almost 100). The fact is, we are the only country in the world with a 2A. That's not going away. Ever.
