May Day 10 Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Kind of a change from the usual topics There is a new batch of these, they had them for 4 years, but not sure they have them for 2023. The Seahawks commission artists to create posters for each of their games like you would see for concerts. They look great, and I wish the Bills could do the same, especially since Buffalo is a supposed artistic hub. A lot sort of remind me of those old AFL programs. Its probably a good thing the Bills/artists dont do this because I would probably need to buy them all. https://www.seahawks.com/game-day/posters/ https://amesbros.com/seattle-seahawks 1 2 Quote
Saxum Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 I like the Seahawks vs Cardinals. I have seen these before but by private artists without team backing. Quote
Bills92 Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Pretty sure i saw the BLFO store does a limited amount of these for each game. Quote
Gregg Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Seattle is going back to their classic uniforms this weekend vs the Browns. They should change back to these as they are so much better than the current uniforms. 2 1 Quote

LeGOATski Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 I've never heard of Buffalo being an arts hub, but every city has an arts district. Maybe that's what you're referring to. Quote
bklnpete Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Buffalo had a thriving arts community for most of last century. Once the old money went away so did much of that culture. There are obvious treasures of that past still here (Architecture, Albright-Knox) but the vibrancy that a potent creative class brought to the city is not so much anymore. The Bills and Sabres are still here, Thankfully. I do really like those posters from the BFLO shop. Here's hoping the team commissions a Super Bowl poster someday soon. I'm saving a prominent space on a wall for that one. Quote

bklnpete Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 There are certainly still people making art in Western New York. Shea's is great, yes. It is, however, a shell of what it was. Quote

boyst Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 I still have many Buffalo News signs from back in the day "PLUCK THE FALCONS" remains the best. It was on black signage. People changed the P to an F and blacked out the L. Quote
reddogblitz Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 (edited) I like 'em and the Buffalo ones. They look like 1960s program covers. Edited October 26, 2023 by reddogblitz Quote
loyal2dagame Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 I see Ames Bros on some of the posters. Ames Bros do alot of Pearl Jam's concert posters. These are all styled similar to past Pearl Jam show posters. 1 Quote
