MadBuffaloDisease Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 I just don't get it. Does JJ really need that much more money? It's not a matter of "need." As long as there's someone richer than him, and even then, he'll want more, more, more.
OBXBILLSFAN Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Ladies and gentlemen, there is no limit on greed, bad taste and classlessness in this country, and Jerry Jones proves it.
Beerball Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Lil Debbie's Honey Buns advertised on the players butts seems like a natural to me.
SF Bills Fan Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Chico's Bail Bonds 352236 Ha! Gold. One of my favorite movies.
/dev/null Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Lil Debbie's Honey Buns advertised on the players butts seems like a natural to me. 352323 better yet, on the cheerleaders butts and adds for Tyson's Chicken Breasts on...
apulshunny Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Wow! Clearly Jerry Jones is working hard to think up ads on uniforms. No wonder Dallas out earns other teams in merchandising. He IS the hardest working owner.
swede316 Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 I can see this happening.....If you look at other countries...like here in Australia...The NRL and other leagues the jerseys are full of ads. http://www.nrlshop.com/Cronulla_Sharks/App...ersey/view.aspx http://www.nrl.com/
Zamboni Man Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 I can honestly say that if the NFL put ads on their uniforms and then sold the exact same thing to the fans I would never buy another jersey again.

For the NASCAR ignorant, is that what they do (i.e. put the adds on as well) for say, a Jeff Gordon jersey?
Chilly Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Watch this go through. A coach can't look respectable by wearing a suit on the sidelines, but Jack in the Box will be able to advertise their Big N Beefy Chili Burger on Julius Jones' leg. 352174 Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Ultimate Cheeseburger.

Right now, the NFL is one of the biggest money making machines around and adding corporate logos on the jerseys is way too dicey of a move for the League to make. Most people are sick of being bombarded with advertisements, and I think it would end up hurting the NFL more than help it, financially.

Who else remebers the out rage, outrage I say, when the NHL allowed teams to sell ad space on the boards? Seems we have all lived with that. Second, the advertising does not need to be garish. I am in the UK quite often(here right now as a matter of fact) and the football and rugby jerseys are big sellers, and most look kinda cool. I am fine with it as long as ALL of that revenue is shared.
