Success Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 This team never made it back from London. Every team has to do it, so it's not an excuse - but it still ticks me off. We were starting to roll in the 3 games before that trip. Okay. Maybe I'm making an excuse. 1 1 1 Quote
TheyCallMeAndy Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Yea London had nothing to do with today, last week, and likely the Jags games itself. Quote
ToGoGo Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 It WAS and issue the last 2 games definitely. Bad karma coming the NFL’s way for that. But today showed that we lack offensive weapons and our offense lacks creativity. Defense is hurting. Quote
No_Matter_What Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 (edited) I know it sucks, but to be fair, as far as I know everything else on our schedule is in our favor. Edited October 22, 2023 by No_Matter_What Quote
MPT Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Flying to London on Friday and keeping your players awake all day before a game on Sunday was a much bigger issue than the game location. And it might have also contributed to season ending injuries for two of our best defenders. Teams that get to London early always look sharper than those who think they're being clever by flying late in the week. Quote

The injuries in the London game likely impacted today's game. There is a legit question if the NFL with the unequal travel time and temporary artificial surface created a situation where injuries were more likely than should be expected in an NFL game. Quote
Dr.Sack Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Tre White, Jones, and Milano injuries all on Astro turf have really impacted this defense. And now Oliver with an over use injured toe from Giants game. Another game on turf. Are we sure we want to blame Roger and not turf? Quote
mrags Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Excuses are like buttholes. Everyone’s got one McDermott and this staff keep making sure we know that 1 Quote

Only because our DT depth was not nearly to the level of the staters. Bernard/Williams was solid, I’m actually mad they benched him for Dodson. Quote
jkeerie Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 London cost us 2 starters...Milano and Daquon. There is considerable drop off in their replacements. Drop off on NE losing starters...marginal. Quote

ascalice Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 (edited) That London trip sure affected the Ravens today… Could have explained the jags and giants game, but no reason for them to play like terrible today with the same issues Edited October 22, 2023 by ascalice Quote
AlfaBill Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 It’s apparent some people on this board have never been on a plane. Jet lag has NOTHING to do with last week or today. The Jags game, sure. The rest, no. Quote
Baba Booey Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Didn’t cost us the game but how do you pick up a golf for ineligible down the field and it’s proven on TV the guy was down field 10 yards. NFL has issues. Badly!!! Quote

MAJBobby Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Excuses. That is the mark of a bad football team. 1 Quote

Exactly. What I meant was the Ravens destroyed the lions today after their London trip, didn’t affect them. Quote

We are talking about athletes in their prime and 1st class flying where you can lay down and sleep. Quote
