Still, Harris is great depth.. Hopefully he's back after the 4 weeks and fully healthy. Is there a limit to the # of players that can go on the more temporary IR designation? I think his lack of usage came down to how excellent Murray has been this year. I definitely didn't expect to see Murray to be this big of a factor for us when they brought him in. Quote

He wasn't signed to another team's 53-man roster, so the Giants released him. He actually requested to be released and the Giants honored his request. Usually IMO when someone says "member of the NFL team" they're talking 53 man roster not practice squad. Though of course PS members are part of the team. So this could be seen as semantics, but the practical difference is: -members of the Giants 53 man roster can not be signed by other teams -members of the Giants practice squad can sign with another team to their 53 man roster at any time, no release needed The point is, if Beasley requested his release because another team wanted him, it's their practice squad they want him for, because if it was for their 53 man roster, Beasley need not request release. He can just get his things and go. Edited October 21, 2023 by Beck Water Quote

I doubt we see Von for more than 10-15 plays/game until late November/December and any minor injury might get someone sat to not aggravate it- see Rousseau last week and big Ed this weekend. give the taxi squad some reps and keep everyone healthy like LeBron or Giannis sitting away against the Pelicans or some other crap team. Von Miller played 27 snaps against the Giants. 35%. He played 20 snaps against the Jaguars, 23%. Recalculating...... I hope management does not share your understanding that we should "sit some vets against lower tier teams" because that's the way to get your butt whipped and not make the playoffs. The margin between winning and losing in the NFL is usually fairly small. Show up and go hard or go home. Any Given Sunday. Quote

The margin between winning and losing in the NFL is usually fairly small. Show up and go hard or go home. Any Given Sunday. Von will be worked up to play at least 50% of the defensive snaps and the only reason he won't play 60% like he did last season is due to Floyd, Groot and AJE playing well (and Shaq Lawson for that matter). But if Von in 35-40% of snaps shows to be getting better he will take on more snaps. Can't take too many chances in this league. Quote
