and in turn why the usual voices are doing exactly what Hamas wanted.  Attacking Israel for its response to terror that want to wipe them from the face of the earth.

Israel is surrounded by 100 million Muslims that would like to see Israel wiped off the face of the earth. Therefore the Jews are very defensive. Can you blame them? It's been like this for them for 2000 years.
