In your high school, coaches meetings were called “gym.”

Climbing the rope was my favorite. I get the same feeling every time you hold me. 😗

Now is the time for our 3-4 people who said they played in the NFL or coached in the NFL to give us some more details of their background.

@FireChans is Billy Joe Hobert

@Irv as a player coach is Dick Jauron

Backyard and 1 year of Pop Warner.  Love the sport, but wasn't a fan of helmet to helmet contact.  Call it intuition.

I was a motorsports kid.  I raced MX.

Good call. Much safer.

Coached at the juco level for a while

Mainly on the lines

I don’t really think it counts as coaching per se, but I was also a helicopter parent that coached my son whenever he was younger and was involved all the way up through high school he had a scholarship to go to San Diego State tore his ACL his senior year still ended up going on to play in juco and semi pro football in Oregon

Surprisingly, yes. There was an Irv on the roster.  🤔

That's rather unique. You'll be up there in age, too. Not quite as old as @Cripple Creek, though.

Couldn't play football or hockey.  Had a kidney removed at age 4 so nothing I could get hit in the back and damage my good one. Made up for it by graduating 6th/365 in my HS classs.

So close to the top 5.   Win some lose some.

There’s just no way we have former nfl/Cfl players in here unless it’s a chad Kelly burner

A coworker of mine played for the Jets as practice squad / 53 man roster player.

He visited this board for a while when I worked for Verizon.

Played college ball at UNLV under John Robinson. Helped position coach some for my high-school, but it was more like volunteering my time. My back and knee don’t let me stand around for hours at a time, so that was short lived.

I'm a semi-professional QB scout and I played long enough to have had multiple concussions. And I've played long enough to have had multiple concussions.
