I doubt McD is a likable guy, he always seems like he’s barely controlling seething rage.

The Daboll/Allen relationship is cool though. He did a lot for Allen and Allen did a lot for him.

Edit: I’m not saying McD is a bad coach at all. But come on, even the clapping is aggressive.

Daboll was the aggressive one that was always yelling and screaming

And McDermott had to tell him to take a step back these aren't 19-year-olds that you can scream at and scare respect into

And then he became more even keeled

Where/when was that reported?

That was like early in josh's tenure... Where daboll was constantly yelling and screaming after mistakes

And people said McDermott came to him and told him that you can't coach like that

It's legitimately 5-6 years ago.. but daboll was fiery early on.. he had a habit of screaming at Josh... Then he stopped

Even after Josh made a mistake

The Patriots game where Josh threw a bunch of picks early in his career Daboll was basically screaming at him. Next game his ass was kicked up into the booth.

Probably because Daboll feels like he should be the one still in Buffalo rather than McD. After all Daboll is basically Buffalo’s son, along with the likes of Gronk and UB players that are actually good and want to be here ( Khalil Mack). Imagine if we actually kept our own.

Yeah, because that’s how it works. We should trade Josh and nab Chad Kelly from the Argonauts while we’re at it.

You missed the “good player/coach” part.

I’d much rather have players/coaches like Mack, Gronk, Daboll.

I for one am jealous of what the Giants have going on over there and would certainly trade our situation for theirs in a heartbeat!

Hopefully this puts to bed (like the BB/BF text chat should have) the talk of Daboll coming back here if and when he gets canned to take back his old job. Besides the fact people wanted to fire him the same people do KD now, that relationship seemed unattainable and destined for a breakup regardless. Heck, they prob thgt it was happening the year prior

Well, you asked how I know this then ranted about how you feel.

I did not say how I feel or what I think. I said what I know. What I know as told to me by several sources who have been a part of the team, including at least one who was in the locker room post 13 seconds when there was damn near a fight over what happened.

Daboll didn't like the way McDermott handled the aftermath of that and leading up to it. Opinions told to me varied saying either Daboll knew Frazier was struggling to call a good defense and thought McDermott should have taken over to McDermott meddling with the defense but not holding things accountable. One of the final straws, and this maybe why Chad Hall left I am told, is that the special teams coordinator neas scapegoated.

Further, there was concern about what strategy McDermott had after promoting Dorsey to OC after Daboll left. This was after McDermott last year took a much more active role in the defense and this year a lot of concern about him going maverick style on defense leaving him no ability to focus on the offense or greater play of the team should Dorsey struggle. And Dorsey is struggling.

The sources I knew and spoke to have expected this type of situation to be playing out as we see it and it's not a well kept secret for the team. This is also something bigger talking heads hear about and realize is a major issue.

They don’t have Josh Allen. I’d take Daboll over McD any day. Give me Mack like how it was supposed to be as well. So many of us wanted Gronk. They should probably start listening to the fans.

And I read your posts frequently and am quite comfortable taking the other side

Yeah, Daboll's doing a bangup job there in Jersey...

And neither McBeane nor the Pegulas had anything to do with Mack and Goonk.
