They go a new direction and let the new guy draft his own QB. Possibly Ben Johnson? A die hard Bears fan told me that he is hoping Belichick gets fired so the Bears can get him. I pointed out his poor GM record and his retort was that it can't be worse than it already is, at least they will have a competent coach for a change. He made his point 2 Quote

That team is stacked with talent.. all the others the talent is lacking. I think the Chargers have almost always been a country club. They haven't had a meat and potatoes coach since Marty. 1 Quote

He made his point IMO he would want the Giants job first. He loves that organization still. Imagine if he went to the Chargers, that swifts has the talent but lacks the coaching they be scary good if BB hasn’t lost his coaching skills. 1 Quote

Don’t they all get part of the multibillion dollar TV money? Is he spending too much time in the casinos? He's spending all his money on the 30 something woman who was next to him at the game. She's gone as soon as he really runs out of money. Quote

Now that we won't benefit from a 3rd round pick, they'll hire Frazier like they should have in the first place. Frazier will never get another NFL head coaching job. Chicago will go offense to mentor Caleb. Fields will be traded to whatever team thinks they can turn him around. No team is passing up Williams with the 1st pick unless he refuses to sign. Chicago has Carolina's pick so either with that pick or their own, they're drafting #1. In order to assure Williams signs, they'll either go after the hottest assistant available or bring in a big name proven coach possibly through a trade. Edited October 17, 2023 by Albany,n.y. 1 Quote
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 I'm rolling with Brandon Staley. Maybe for once he won't let us down! 3 Quote
H2o Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 I said Eberflus, but Staley deserves the ax too. There have been absolutely no positives in Chicago since Eberflus took over. At the same time, there hasn't been a more underachieving squad than the Chargers since Staley has been HC. 2 Quote

JohnNord Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Good poll. I think all these coaches will be on the hot seat come seasons end. Eberfluss is the most likely not to make it out of the season. I think he’s a goner and his GM Ryan Poles should be on the chopping block as well. He had an opportunity for a complete rebuild and after year 3, and has little to show for it. He’s also made some goofy moves IMO like devoting a lot of his cap to signing Edmunds and Edwards. Holding 2 high picks in 2024, the Bears are in a position where they can do the same thing but under a different GM. A great situation to walk into. 1 hour ago, PatsFanNH said: IMO he would want the Giants job first. He loves that organization still. Out of all these teams, San Diego is the most desirable given the QB situation. Given the lousy job he’s done as GM the past few years, it does make you wonder if he still complete control over roster/drafting as he had in NE 1 Quote

Gregg Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 I would guess the Bears HC gets canned first but if it was the Chargers, I wouldn't be shocked. 1 Quote

Now would he be in outages to retire at the end of the season? Yes but definitely not fired half way threw it even if they are 1-7 which they probably will be. I'm sure that among the 31 billionaires who own all but one NFL team (Green Bay), there's at least one who would do it just because he can. I'm not familiar with NFL owners. I know the names of only 5: Terry Pegula, Bob Kraft, Jerry Jones, Mark Davis, and Bob Irsay. On 10/9/2023 at 10:39 PM, Ethan in Cleveland said: I predicted Stefanski before the season started. EmotionallyUnstable Posted October 31, 2023 Author Posted October 31, 2023 Raiders post two flops in a row, losing to the lowly bears and can’t find any resemblance of an offense vs the lions tonight. Giants, Jets, Dolphins loses the next few weeks would put them at 3-8…. Probably not enough to be fired, YET, so my initial 11/20 prediction might not be right. How would they keep this guy?! Quote
