BBFL Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 (edited) So as it stands, they have what? England, Germany and Mexico? London, Munich/Frankfurt and Mexico City…? Got to believe the next option would be possibly another European host. Maybe Italy/Rome, Ireland and France/Paris? Could even go to South America; Brazil, as there is a huge following there. Only reason I see another European market is for that reason, it’s the whole of Europe as a market. They could go China but is that on the basis of hoping to expand publicity and interest there? I have never really heard of NFL having a large following there… Edited October 8, 2023 by BBFL Quote

steven50 Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 I am guessing its going to be Germany or Mexico. The Toronto thing was a disaster and the CFL doesn't want the NFL there. When they had the European League the German Teams always had some of the highest attendance. A lot of the military stationed there went to the games (like me). Quote

I get what the NFL is trying to do but honestly I hate this entire London thing already. This is too much for players to travel like that. Couple that with Thursday games and Monday games. It's just not fair when other competitors don't have to deal with it too. I'd GLADLY give up Thursday night games for Sunday mornings. 😁 I REALLY do not like Thursday night games! 1 Quote

I guess my question is what 15 places would you go that you don't already play? Then when you do, how would you know people actually show up? Cities without NFL teams: Birmingham, Ala, Biloxi, Miss, San Antonio, Oakland, Portland, Ore, Salt Lake City, Boise, etc Edited October 8, 2023 by BobbyC81 Quote
Captain_Quint Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 Munich will be interesting this year, especially because it's KC vs Miami. Quote

Mexico is a push too... Yep. The crime rate in Brazil is substantial as is Mexico. Besides, if we’re being honest, this is about $ and extending the brand. The SES and crime rates are much more stable in Spain, Germany, and England. Quote

frostbitmic Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 Qatar or Saudi Arabia will be next, the NFL is all about the $$$ and they've got plenty... They'll probably buy a Super Bowl. 1 Quote

The Players Association has to draw a line in the sand. The Thursday games are so hard on the players. The greed of the NFL is just jaw dropping. Quote
thenorthremembers Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 Really wish they'd stick to the international stuff during the preseason. Using these as home games shorts both the players and the American fans. Quote
