Israel and Iran

Not really, Hamas obviously wants ethnic cleansing, too.

Does Israel really want to have the same goal as Hamas?

Are you out of your mind.

It is your claim and your claim only that Israel is involved in ethnic cleansing.

There is nothing "ethnic" about a terrorist organization.

They are intent on once and for all, eliminating a political terrorist organization that has an expressed goal of eradicating them, which has recently participated in some of the most barbaric actions seen in history, and is the direct cause of massive misery for their own people, and they are run by a despotic regime and treated as human sacrifice to enable that distant, useless regime.

In no way is that ethnic cleansing, and it is time it was dealt with.

Well, a least some good news. Two more hostages released, though WH has not confirmed.

Now let's hope the rest get out

That's what we were discussing. The whole population of Gaza. Not sure how you missed that.

Look at a map- Israel already has  plenty of undeveloped land by the sea. Not sure what they’d want another 20 miles for

Just saying, if they remove the population, will the land just be empty?

It will if the nukes are used properly.  There'll be fallout for years.

Right next to Israel? Fallout, ya

With friends like you, Israel doesn't need Hamas

The fallout would be in Israel there's little point taking him seriously, he's just purposely saying stupid *****, or an actual immoral idiot.

I'm not sure where anybody got the idea that the Israelis were discussing getting rid of everybody in the Gaza.

They said, and I believe they mean it and will try to do so, is to eliminate Hamas.

This never ends until the Palestinians in the Gaza get Hamas gone or Hamas has a massive change of heart, which has near zero probability.

Of course the other key to the equation is getting rid of the real source of this, which is the Iranian regime.

THE DAY THE DELUSIONS DIED:

By Konstantin Kisin

October 22, 2023

A lot of people woke up on October 7 as progressives and went to bed that night feeling like conservatives.   What changed?

When Hamas terrorists crossed over the border with Israel and murdered 1,400 innocent people, they destroyed families and entire communities. They also shattered long-held delusions in the West.

A friend of mine joked that she woke up on October 7 as a liberal and went to bed that evening as a 65-year-old conservative. But it wasn’t really a joke and she wasn’t the only one. What changed?

The best way to answer that question is with the help of Thomas Sowell, one of the most brilliant public intellectuals alive today. In 1987, Sowell published A Conflict of Visions. In this now-classic, he offers a simple and powerful explanation of why people disagree about politics. We disagree about politics, Sowell argues, because we disagree about human nature. We see the world through one of two competing visions, each of which tells a radically different story about human nature.

Those with “unconstrained vision” think that humans are malleable and can be perfected. They believe that social ills and evils can be overcome through collective action that encourages humans to behave better. To subscribers of this view, poverty, crime, inequality, and war are not inevitable. Rather, they are puzzles that can be solved. We need only to say the right things, enact the right policies, and spend enough money, and we will suffer these social ills no more. This worldview is the foundation of the progressive mindset.

By contrast, those who see the world through a “constrained vision” lens believe that human nature is a universal constant. No amount of social engineering can change the sober reality of human self-interest, or the fact that human empathy and social resources are necessarily scarce. People who see things this way believe that most political and social problems will never be “solved”; they can only be managed. This approach is the bedrock of the conservative worldview.

Hamas’s barbarism—and the explanations and celebrations throughout the West that followed their ***** of violence—have forced an overnight exodus from the “unconstrained” camp into the “constrained” one.

On the flip side, as Don Surber writes: The Nazis are winning — society accepts and promotes anti-Semitism again.

“I was lectured long and often last year about how Ukraine was a fight for democracy even as Zelensky banned opposition parties and shut down elections.

Here we have a legitimate democracy — Israel — facing an existential threat from rapists and executioners and I do not hear anyone in Washington talking about democracy.

But they go on and on and talk about proportionate punishment as if Palestinians are just unruly children and not cutthroats who want to destroy Israel and kill Jews from the river to the sea. German Nazis used education camps to indoctrinate their youth. American Nazis use Harvard.”

So you don't have this moral outrage over Putin doing worse to Ukraine. Strange, its as if you fully understand and embrace Putin's role in helping certain Republicans

B-man, if Putin a terrorist?

Israel drops leaflets in south Gaza asking for information on hostages

By Hazem Balousha

NUSEIRAT REFUGEE CAMP, Gaza Strip — Israeli aircraft dropped leaflets in Khan Younis in southern Gaza on Tuesday, requesting that Palestinians provide the Israeli military with information on hostages held there in exchange for promises of safety.

“If you want a better future for you and your children, do good and send us confirmed, useful information about those kidnapped in your area,” the leaflet read in Arabic, listing phone numbers.

Here's a list of countries that have expelled Palestinians since the creation of Israel.

Iraq

Saudi Arabia

Libya

Jordan

Lebanon

Kuwait

In perhaps the largest displacement, (from over 400,000 to less than 20,000),  Kuwait did so in 1991 following the US' and coalition forces forced the Iraqis out following their invasion of Kuwait.

They did so because Arafat's PLO endorsed the Iraqi invasion.

Looking at that list, and the undeniable history, I hold very little hope that Arab nations will resettle them in their lands.

That's wild, considering this all started because the Jews were getting kicked out of so many countries!
