he is in the college football hall of fame and retired when he was going to start for the Ravens. So much respect for him. How much can that possibly pay thoigg?

 

He got paid enough that his college costs are paid which is most important thing.

Usually PhD candidates, especially at major unis like MIT, have their tuition covered and receive a stipend, especially if they are asked to teach or TA.
