coloradobillsfan Posted November 2 Posted November 2 Just getting back from 3 consecutive David Gilmour shows at the Hollywood Bowl. Had chilly weather (by LA standards) but the music kept us warm every night. Despite identical setlists each show was special. David's voice is holding up nicely for being 78 but his guitar playing is still simply incredible. Floyd classics shine, as does much of Luck and Strange. "Scattered" might be the best post PF song he's ever written. There are still the MSG shows remaining so if you're on the fence I couldn't recommend making the effort enough, especially considering the likelihood this abbreviated tour could be his last. If so, it's a heck of a way to go out. 2 1 Quote

Mr Info Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Saw the Gilmour show at MSG on Wednesday. He can still shred it…amazing show. Still 2 dates remaining @MSG until the tour is over if you want to see it. We sat behind the UK family of backup singer Charley Webb which includes 2 young daughters of Charley and they were a fun sidelight to speak with as it was their first time in Manhattan. 1 Quote
Just Jack Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Went and saw TSO this past weekend, or as DCTom would call it, Grandma's Heavy Metal concert. Fifth time seeing them, but the first time for a different story. We usually get the girl sleeping in the theater, who ends up going home. This year we got the business man who gave up his son after he was born. I liked the girl in the theater story better. Different stage setup also. So was it worth it, yes, since it was different than other years. 1 Quote
