Brand J Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 The Butterfly Effect is that if he had picked off that pass, the trajectory of the game changes and he never gets hurt on that play because it never would’ve happened. Of course that could also mean someone else gets hurt instead on a new script of plays. Injuries suck. 1 1 1 Quote
Dr.Sack Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 What if White chooses the Rodgers bridge repair option? Is it possible he could be back for AFC Championship game or Super Bowl? 1 Quote

It’s a terrible shame, but he will be back for the playoff run next year. Hopefully closer to 100% than he was after the ACL. He’s supremely talented and knows his job. He just needs to be healthy. 1 Quote
NewEra Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Terrible. I don’t even wanna think about this. 2 Quote

A CB will never get back on the field in the same season he has an Achilles injury like this, the demands on a CB to cover the WR is way more physically demanding than what a QB would ever experience with this same injury. 1 Quote

TheyCallMeAndy Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Kyle Williams tore his ACL and Achilles and still had a long, HOF career. 1 1 Quote

ProcessTruster Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Looks like all the "trade Elam now" posters have departed the building. Shocked I am. I seem to remember a quote that goes something like this: "Can't have enough starting calibre corners in today's NFL" -- Sean McDermott. So happy Beane drafted two starting calibre corners... in the same freakin draft. And that McD is back directing the defense. We as a fan base are so da-n fortunate to have these two guys running the place. Quote

Agreed, but to say it's impossible is not 100%. We are 133 days away from Super Bowl 58. That's 4.37 months. Cam Akers a RB came back in 5.5 months to play for the Rams a few years ago. Rodgers is attempting a newer surgery that speeds recovery. It depends where the ligament is torn. Depending on the tear location, IE if its in the middle of the achilles Tre has a shot to return. It's its torn at the heel or calf muscle then is done for 12-15 months. Quote

North Buffalo Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 (edited) Achilles is min 6 month in a boot and surgery required if full tear... it is a low blood flow area needs lots of rehab... That being said rarely tears again and full recovery... what I dont know is if it limits speed and how long if it all the speed comes back... I had two partial tears in my 20s and they never really effected me post rehab... so here is hopin its that.. Edited October 1, 2023 by North Buffalo 2 Quote

To me, no contact injuries imply a structural defect. If it didn’t rupture on this play, it was a ticking time bomb. It would’ve happened in the very near future. 1 1 Quote
Bills!Win! Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 I am so disappointed. Dallas lost Diggs. Miami lost Ramsey. It happens Quote
