That's what's frustrating.  Republicans have every advantage you can ask for going into 2024.  All they have to do is look like a semi competent party and stay out of the way.

The Dems are in lock-step and have been thoroughly incompetent.  They had both Houses and the Presidency for the 1st 2 years of Joke's term and the country is a mess.  Not being able to pick a Speaker for a few weeks isn't going to change what people already know about the current Admin and where Dems are trying to take this country.

All you want to do is show you're a competent alternative.  Instead they're going all Josh Allen against a Zach Wilson led Jets.

No one will care in a few weeks time when they choose a new Speaker.

In the months leading up to and following the 2020 presidential election, potential House speaker and Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan prolifically pushed false stolen election rhetoric.

After then-President Donald Trump lost the election to Joe Biden, Jordan urged Trump not to concede, spread conspiracy theories, supported lawsuits attempting to disqualify the legitimate results and discussed plans to object to the 2020 election results on January 6, 2021.

He would later be applauded by Trump in his speech to supporters on January 6, 2021, calling the Ohio Republican one of the “great ones” for his efforts.

I see calling Repubs “Hamas” is the new Dem talking point.

Look at Hamas, that's what happens when you steal elections and make d-bags unaccountable leaders.

Thank God the Democrats and sensible Republicans stood up to that evil

Steal elections?  Again that's the Dems' shtick.

Back to the thread.

One more vote.

As recently as this morning, it was being reported that Rogers was adamantly opposed to Jordan becoming Speaker, and, indeed, was talking with Democrats about teaming up ahead of the vote.

Will Gym accept the results of an election in the House when he loses?

What do the people pushing for JJ  think he is going to do? Passing legislation in the house that is not going to get taken up by the Senate or considered by the WH is worthless.

Freedom caucus doesn’t understand the basic concepts of how to get actual results. Gonna be a lotta disappointment.
