k2mountain Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 I remember Bruce getting drafted. Who can't remember a number one overall draft pick? If I recall correctly, he wasn't a big baller during his first season or two, he was overweight and undisciplined. Then something clicked... he became a gym rat and got ripped. He also became a film room rat. That's when he began to dominate. I could be wrong, but that's my 38 year old memory. 1 Quote
Desert Bills Fan Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Relentless! What technique! Watching that shoulder dip move around the edge, swim moves, spin moves - he perfected his craft. and such hand strength - if he got a hand on a QB they were going down. Need to see more of Von in a Bills jersey🤕 1 Quote

Motorin' Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 (edited) Just came across a video that has every Bruce Smith sack in a Bills uniform. In order. It's the length of a feature film, just over an hour and a half long. PS, thanks NFL for not allowing your YouTube videos to be embedded 👎 https://youtu.be/iqVDyVmPQjI?si=Ni2hgAtt823J-TD- Edited September 30, 2023 by Motorin' 1 Quote

At the time told he that he was very lucky to be alive and to get out of the car. He started eating better and stayed in town after that year and hit the gym and became the physical specimen that we all say him become. 1 Quote

Didn’t he go through 15 treadmills because he was a beast?! 😎 2 Quote

He became just what you described and played at 275. memory alert Ken O’Brien still twitches. 1 Quote

His size, length, strength, are still prototype. I mean he was a 3-4 end with these numbers. I can’t imagine him in a 4-3. 1 Quote
