Spiderweb Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Alas, as many may agree, I think we are witnessing Poyers body breaking down. He sure got banged up alot last year and he's picking up right where he left off. Shame too because a couple years ago, he was a top safety. Quote

GoBills! Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 I was against bringing him back before the draft and after, He definitely has a lost a step. He has either been playing injured all year or truly just lacking what he was 2 years ago. He was a great bill and love his comeback story, battle with booze, but football wise his is in father time.... Quote

Gunsgoodtime Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 He is on the exit out, probably been the worst player on defense so far through week 3. We need upgrades at Safety finally after this year. Poyer and Hyde have been great. But they are running low on fumes. Poyer has showed regression being slow, Hyde has fared better but still is up on years, have to move on at some point 1 Quote
CSBill Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 I am very comfortable having Rapp step in. The drop-off in physical skills is minimal, if any. And his reputation as a hitter might make guys like Hill and Waddle get a little alligator-armed today. The Elam situation is certainly a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. Or maybe he is just bad? Quote
bmur66 Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Wasn’t Rapp signed to replace Poyer while Poyer was a free agent? He wasn’t expected to return. Quote

Rapp was signed after Poyer. I didn’t notice him much live, maybe 1 time on a tackle. That’s a good thing. Bills played a lot of 2 high safeties. Hyde was noticeable though. Rapp no mistakes it seems. Quote
