BillsFan619 Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Because of the overall play of Bernard in the Commanders game (well deserved), not really seeing the love for AJ. This was an awesome play. Give AJ his props. Go Bills! 5 8 3 Quote

BuffaloBillyG Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 AJE has definitely flashed at times. He was the right guy to keep over Boogie and he's shown improvement as a pass rusher each year in the league IMO. Teams need guys like him that can step in and give you some snaps a game. That all said, I'd still like to see him improve in the run game at setting the edge. But as far as a backup DE he's good. 1 5 Quote

Bferra13 Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Are we going so far as giving him flowers too or just props? Flowers is one step above props, right? 3 6 1 Quote

He'll be a nice #4 rotational pass rusher after Groot, Floyd & Von. He still has to develop his pass rush moves. 2 1 Quote

Seems to play with a bit more of an edge and physicality. 2 Quote
SCBills Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 (edited) I like AJE and think he still has more potential. TBH, I hope we let Gabe walk, and focus on (if it's possible) extending Floyd, Jones and Epenesa. Bring back Lawson and Phillips on cheap deals and draft a space eating DT. Through three games, it looks like Beane finally got the DL right and we're seeing how incredibly important that is. AJE is showing to be a splash player off the edge that brings consistent pressure for a rotational guy. His length and athleticism, along with Floyd and Rousseau "could" be a game changer against Tua and that quick rhythm passing attack. Edited September 28, 2023 by SCBills 1 3 Quote
Beast Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I think AJE will be key to this weeks game. Tua gets the ball out so quick I believe the best way to attack him is to bull rush and get your hands up. Taking it wide and you’ll be ineffective. I believe he’s our best DE at doing just that. WotAGuy Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 That’s not even AJ Klein in the video. Fail. 1 1 Quote
JJGauna Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 With the stiff arm to add insult to injury lol, great play! 4 Quote
Rc2catch Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I was just watching his hit on Tua a couple years ago where Epenesa broke him. He was in sooooooo fast Quote
Nephilim17 Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 If the dude can hit 8 sacks this year, and he had 6.5 in 2022, I'll be happy. He's not going to be a star but he can be a solid player. 3 Quote
Big Turk Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 It's almost like every dude that was underperforming last year under Frazier is performing at a much higher level this year...Oliver(for the most part), AJE, etc... Kinda like the Granato effect with the Sabres where the good players suddenly became good again and actually reached new heights in their careers... 1 Quote

Success Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 It's not a play or 2, either - he's very noticeable on a lot of plays now. Looks like the guy we thought we might get when he was drafted. 3 Quote
Low Positive Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I hate it when a guy that we draft "figures it out" in his contract year. 2 Quote
