Newsom vs DeSantis Debate

Why is this debate even happening?  This is a joke.  Why would anybody watch a non-candidate for the WH debate an actual candidate?   You can't make this stuff up.  Biden is so far gone, he can't do a debate on his own?  Pathetic.  What a mess.

DeSantis has to have one of the worst run campaigns I've ever seen. Aside from the fact the he appears to be completely unlikable to anyone who meets him in person, he has completely squandered all of the hype he had over the summer.

 

Instead of making the case that Trump is the past and he is the future, he has run his campaign into the ground and is now agreeing to a stunt debate against someone who isn't even running.

 

Can you imagine Trump, or Obama, or any serious candidate taking time from the campaign trail to debate someone who wasn't even running? It's so weird.

My guess is Kamala has a Deal with Newsome when Joey steps down she gives him the nod.

Campaign has been a mess, and we’ve seen plenty of evidence now Ron is much better at execution than campaigning.

which folks do you know that have met him personally that dislike him?  What was it they disliked? 

 

Someone who works on my team and went to some event a year or two ago in Florida met him personally and found him impressive one on one.

It is kinda risk-free for Newsom. He gets his name out there, gets to take on DeSantis AND Hannity (what a fearless warrior!) and there's really no downside.

For DeSantis, it just seems a bit desperate. Trump has sucked out all of the oxygen on the Republican side, leaving him to do whatever he can to get attention.

Chuck Todd In probably the only genuine reporting piece he’s done on his way out tried to pry this out of Gav, but he toed the line. Newsome was adamant,  Biden has a great record to run on, age not an issue, and Kammy is the indisputable heir apparent. He adhered to all of this every step of the way.
