More accurate representation of what their leaders have been saying in response to events of the past few months. Who has drifted off course? Trump siding with Putin is pretty bad Who is raising taxes on the Middle Class? Not the Democrats

JFKjr Posted February 28 Posted February 28 How many of you Libs are doing this boycott of the economy today?

B-Man Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Democrats Encouraged Zelensky to Scoff at a Possible Peace Deal, Setting Up Oval Office Blowout Democrat Senator Chris Murphy (CT) and presumably others encouraged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to reject the prospect of a peace deal without so-called "security guarantees" (a euphemism for American military commitments) just before the now-infamous Oval Office blow-out. As reported, a 40-minute presser between Zelensky and President Donald Trump turned sour after the former, who had been antagonistic and dismissive of U.S. concerns throughout the meeting, interjected to interrogate JD Vance for the cameras. The vice president had mentioned working toward diplomacy, which didn't sit well with the Ukrainian president, and in a move that struck the administration as disrespectful, Zelensky publicly denounced any possibility of a ceasefire that would pause the war with Russia. A later tweetstorm from the Ukrainian president only appeared to fray relations further. One of the big questions was how we even arrived at that point. What caused Zelensky to walk into the White House with the sense that he could bully Trump in front of the press and scoff at any diplomatic negotiations? A post made by Murphy gives the game away. Less than an hour before entering the Oval Office, Zelensky met with several lawmakers, including Murphy and other Democrats. Based on the wording of the above post, the senator (or someone else at the table) pressed the Ukrainian president to reject a "fake peace agreement," which is a clear shot at Trump's attempts at diplomacy. At the very least, these Democrats encouraged Zelensky to remain defiant in that position, and we all know what happened next. Attending that meeting and glad-handing with left-wing partisans who do not want peace because it would make them look bad was a colossal mistake by Zelensky. He needed to go into the Oval Office with a reconciliatory attitude. No one was asking him to sign a peace deal with Russia on the spot. All Trump wants to do is hold talks. Ukrainian leaders would still hold the right to reject ceasefire terms if they saw fit. Zelensky needs to understand that these Democrats have no power. The Biden administration is gone, and Republicans control both the Senate and the House. Chris Murphy isn't going to be writing Ukraine a check. All he and his cohorts can do is virtue-signal, and that's not winning any battles against Russia. https://redstate.com/bonchie/2025/03/02/democrats-encouraged-zelensky-to-scoff-at-a-peace-deal-setting-up-oval-office-blow-out-n2186178 1
B-Man Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Does the Democratic Party need to change? It can't. It won't. I'm reading "Senate blocks ban on transgender athletes, as Trump pushes forward/The Senate failed to get the 60 votes needed to advance legislation banning transgender athletes from competing in female sports" (WaPo). Every single Democratic Senator voted against the bill. That is, they stuck to their principles on the #1 issue that clearly — massively — hurts them. WaPo's A.I. summarizes comments — "Many commenters criticize Democrats for supporting policies that they believe disadvantage biological women" — and singles this one out as "provocative": Yeah, who are we as a country if we don't defend someone's right to pee next to someone of their imagined gender? Or defend a guy’s right to creep out a bunch of college girls by flouncing around in his original equipment in their locker room and then going out and stealing an NCAA swimming championship from them? /s Posted by Ann Althouse https://www.washingtonpost.com/education/2025/03/03/senate-vote-transgender-athletes-womens-sports/ https://althouse.blogspot.com/2025/03/does-democratic-party-need-to-change-it.html Top Democrats humiliated as their attempt at edgy social media videos revealed as heavily scripted DC stunt. By ALEX HAMMER Democrat leaders were caught red-handed reading from the same script in videos meant to oppose Donald Trump's address to Congress. Chuck Schumer, Elizabeth Warren, and Cory Booker all published footage of their opposition Tuesday with the same word-for-word clips and strikingly similar b-roll. All began with the same clip of the president vowing to 'bring prices down' - and the same expletive-laden reaction from each senator, 'Sh*t that ain't true.' https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14460399/chuck-schumer-elizabeth-warren-cory-booker-scripted.html? . 1
