Pre-postmortem, Part 2: "Democrats start to point fingers even as they hope for Harris win."

A headline at The Hill.

“People are nervous and they’re trying to cover their ass and get a little ahead of Election Day,” one Democratic strategist said of the sniping. “It’s based on anxiety, stakes and the unique nature of this cycle."

“We didn’t have a traditional process for this election. We didn’t have a primary. People just had to fall in line,” the strategist added, saying “it’s not surprising to me” that some of the blame game is happening even before Election Day....

“[Harris] is going to look real silly for not picking Shapiro,” one former aide in the Obama White House said....

Even before Garbage-gate, there were whispers that Biden would be responsible for a Harris defeat....

Democrats Have an Arrogance Problem

By Ward Clark

FTA:

This is known as belaboring the obvious.

But we might ask why this is the case. Republicans, conservatives, and libertarians are far more likely to be willing to enter into a calm, rational discussion. When those of us on the right of the center disagree, we tend not to take it as personally as the left does.

The answer may be found in a famous quote from the late, great Dr. Charles Krauthammer:

Quote

Conservatives think liberals are stupid. Liberals think conservatives are evil.

For the "woke" left, the certainty of their righteousness is overwhelming. The "woke" left is convinced that people have a right to free health care and forgiveness of their student loans, the right to push transgender treatments on children, the right to have Drag Queen Story Hours in elementary schools, and they will not consider arguments to the contrary.

This comes back to Dr. Krauthammer's quote. Conservatives may think liberals are stupid, but as long as the liberals aren't actually mentally impaired, they may be open to an honest discussion based on facts. Conservatives and libertarians, the people to the right of center, generally don't naturally start off being uncivil, as doing so would make the listener unreceptive. Conservatives tend to see civility as a virtue.

But liberals, with their reflexive belief that conservatives are evil, react with arrogant condescension, and given their assumption, why wouldn't they? Liberals see incivility as a virtue when dealing with those whom they sophomorically see as evil.

It's an interesting phenomenon and explains a lot about the state of political discourse in the United States today.

CHANGE?

House Democrats in Open Revolt Against Aging, Out-of-Touch Ranking Committee Members.

House Democrats are staging a mutiny against several long-sitting committee committee members. And the party leader in the House, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), is allowing it to happen.

Rep. Raul Grijalva of Arizona, 76, announced that he would step down from the ranking minority leader spot on the Natural Resources Committee. Rep. Jerry Nadler of New York, 77, decided not to contest a challenge from Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland to the top Democratic spot on the Judiciary Committee. And Rep. David Scott of Georgia, 79, appears on the way out of the top Democratic spot on the Agriculture Committee due to numerous, younger challengers.

All of the challengers are farther left and more radical than the old guard they're replacing. What they're promising is a change in "narrative" and doubling down on progressive issues that the American voter soundly and roundly rejected a month ago.

How galling it is for him that his pleas to the American people on behalf of Hillary and Kamala were rebuffed. Losing to the orange menace TWICE. Truly an a-hole.

Maybe a cautionary tale for all the other Republican 2028 hopefuls?

Obama's Cult of Personality was not transferable to Hillary or Kamala. Or Biden, but that COVID year is looking like an outlier.

Is Trump's Cult of Personality transferable to anyone else in the Republican Party? Republicans themselves seemed to say no when good candidates like DeSantis and Haley (and for hardline Evangelicals, Pence) failed to gain traction.

We'll find out for sure in 2028.

No surprise. To authoritarians, Truth is the enemy.

Democrats Pressured Capitol Police to Show Preferential Treatment to Officer Who Killed Ashli Babbitt

by Jeff Charles

The United States Capitol Police officer who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt during the events at the Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, reportedly received preferential treatment from the law enforcement agency after Democrat lawmakers applied pressure. Internal emails reveal that House Democrats leaned on U.S. Capitol Police to provide extraordinary financial and professional support to Lt. Michael Byrd, the officer who fatally shot unarmed protester Ashli Babbitt

Got that, all you alt media is more fair types?

"Unarmed protester." Funny, because the mainstream media probably would have found room to note something like, "who shot Babbit as she was trying to crash through a locked door leading to the Speaker's chambers."

CBS radio news described Trump getting shot in Pennsylvania as “Trump’s violent rally”. What point are you trying to make?

Umm, maybe that your vaunted Alt Media isn't so wonderful after all?

They are a source of information that people can digest and assess. That you believe your vaunted “reliable mainstream media” is reliable and apparently wonderful, is laughable/naive/clueless.

By the way, when you google "CBS radio Trump's violent rally" you get exactly two results.

Both are for Two Bills Drive content posted by some character calling himself "Biden is Mentally Fit."

Congrats. You are creating your own personal echosphere!
